Chapter Twelve: Finding and Forgeting.

Start from the beginning

Her brother.

That's who's grave it is.

Jackson 'Sunny' Anderson,

1989 - 2009

A loved son, brother, nephew and cousin.

"I lost Claire. She's gone, Jack. I don't know if I'll be able to find her this time. Its all my fault," Seeing her in pain breaks a little, even Dusk.

"I miss you Jack, I wish you were here with me." She begins to cry harder, sucking I'm breathes then letting out tears. She's soaking wet and it makes me wonder how long she's been here.

All my fault.

"Sia," My voice approaches her softly. I kneel down beside her, laying a hand on her shoulder.

She rises her head and her beautiful brown eyes are red.

"I'm sorry," She croaks. "I didn't mean to do any of what I did---"

"Its not your fault," I bring her in for a hug and she takes it.

"But it is!," She wipes her tears, I don't think i've seen her cry before, she's always so strong and independent. But I guess I broke her. "I don't blame you for hating me, I would hate me too."

"I don't hate you," I cup her hand with mine and look at her, but she refuses to look back.

"You might not be an Alpha because of me, Max." She quivers, I can feel the vibration in her hands.

"I'd rather have you then be an Alpha,"

"What are you doing here?" She asks quietly, no doubt trying to change the subject.

"Looking for you. I'm trying to mend what Dusk has done, he's angry Sia, but I don't care. You're my one and only."

Rain pours down my face like sweat but I can't take my eyes off her broken soul.

"What are you doing here?" I know she's here because of her brother, but why?

"It's been 5 years now." Is all she says, and I understand. Jackson would have passed five years ago, from this day.

This must be the shittiest day of her life right now. All because of me, and someone was defending their country.

"It seems that the people closest to me always slip away," She looks at me this time. Her eyes full of dispair sadness.

"I haven't." I tell her before taking her in my arms for a hug. She accepts it, Her face find the crock of my neck, inhaling deeply.

Finally in my arms again, but sobbing over what I have done.

"Max, how are we ever going to find Claire?"

"We will. I just don't know how"

"Well," She pulls away, seeming to be more stable. "How did you find me?"

"I.." Pausing for a moment, I take her question to mind. How did I find her? I wasn't following her scent, you can't do that in the rain, plus it fades after a few minutes

It was like a strange connection pulling me towards her, I can't explain it.

"I just felt that you were near, you know?" I ask rhetorically.

"I think I felt it too," She begins "Like every time I looked up... you were here with me"

And what she just said lead me to the answer we've been too blind to see.

"I think I know how to find Claire"

Baboom.

How's chapter twelve for ya. It was pretty deep you know, cane straight from the heart.

Sorry for the late update, but I'm volunteering at my local rest hone now to help the elderly. I'm also starting babysitting to look after kids as well.
