Chapter 20.

*Leilani's Postpartum Depression Part 2.*

Laurent woke up at 7 from Lauren's crying. He looked at Leilani sleeping peacefully but depression still evident on her face. He kissed her cheek and got out of bed. He walked in Lauren's room and quickly swooped her up. She was crying loud so he quickly took her downstairs and made her a bottle. He sat on the couch and fed her until she fell back asleep. When he seen she was indeed sleep, he sighed a breath of relief and laid her in the bassinet.

He looked at his phone at seen it was 8 o'clock so he decided to set his alarm for 10 and go back to sleep.

When 10 approached, his alarm went off and he woke up. He stretched, got up, grabbed Lauren and walked upstairs. Lauren was still sleep, thank the heavens, so Laurent laid her in her crib and took a 30 minute shower. He got out and got dressed. He looked at Leilani and smiled. He thought since she's so tired and depressed, he'll make her breakfast in bed.

He went downstairs after checking on Lauren to make breakfast. He made French toast, eggs, bacon, some grits with a little fruit on the side. He poured her orange juice and made his way upstairs. As he make it back to the room, he sit her food down on the night stand and gently rub his hand over her cheek where her dry tears are. She slowly open her eyes to see Laurent looking down at her smiling. She give a small smile back and sit up to stretch.

Laurent: *smiles* Goodmorning babe.

Leilani: *raspy* Morning.

Laurent: How you feeling?

Leilani: *shrugs* Tired.

Laurent: I know belle. But you have a doctors appointment at 3. So I want you to eat your breakfast and take a shower. I will be back to check on you.

Leilani: *smiles a lil* Thank you baby.

Laurent:  *smiles* Anything for my baby.

He leans in and kiss her lips passionately. He gets up and walk out as she eats her breakfast in bed. After she finishes eating, she sit the table back on her night stand and get in the shower. She takes a 30 minute shower and get dressed. She do her hygeine routine and make her way downstairs.

Laurent was on the phone when she walked downstairs. As she sat quietly beside him, he finishes up his conversation. He looks at her and smile.

Leilani: What?

Laurent: *smile* Larry and Teddy agreed to watch babygirl while we go to your appointment and Mami agreed to watch her tonight to give us a break. She also said that she hopes you get better.

Leilani: *smile a lil* Tell them I said thank you so much. I'm very grateful for my family. I love y'all so much.

Laurent: *smile* And we love you so much too baby.

They kiss passionately and lay in each others arms enjoying peace and quiet. Lauren starts crying and Laurent gets up but Leilani stop him.

Leilani: I got it.

Laurent: You sure.

Leilani: *nods*

She make her way upstairs to Lauren's room. She walks in and pick Lauren up. She grabs her diaper bag and change Lauren. Leilani lay Lauren back in her bed and pick her out an outfit. As Leilani finds Lauren something to wear, there's a knock on the door and soon she hears Larry and Teddy voices. She change Lauren into her clothes as Teddy walk through the door.

Teddy: *smile* Hey Lani.

Leilani: *smile a lil* Hey.

Teddy: How you feeling?
