Tinkerbell was always there for Peter, but instead Peter chose Wendy. ~

"Hello?"

"I think you have the wrong room" I told the person as they stepped through the door.

"My father owns the hospital, I think I know where I'm going"

"Mr Ootori..?" I wondered out loud as he sat down.

"Hello" He responded putting down his things "We didn't exactly have a very nice reunion did we?"

"Most certainly not" I smiled "Unless girls fainting infront of you is a regular thing"

"Well people are always falling for my good looks"

I giggled.

"So what brings you here Mr Ootori?" I asked.

"Is it wrong to visit a friend?"

"I'm your friend?"

"Unless you don't want to-"

"N-no!" I interrupted shaking my head "I-I want to be your friend!"

I watched Kyoya's eyebrow raise.

"How long have you spent in here..?" He asked as I looked down at my hands.

"I honestly don't remember" I said forcing a laugh "I used to have people visit me alot when I was about five or six though but I never saw them again"

I continued laughing as my vision started fogging up.

"Isn't that funny? I've been here so long I don't even remember their names, my very first friends" Something rolled down my cheek "I don't remember what school I used to go to because I never went, or my teachers name even though..."

My bottom lip quivered as more tears fell.

"I'm sorry" I apologized, trying to wipe the tears away "I'm sorry"

An ugly sob escaped my throat.

I took a deep breath and smiled.

"I'm insane" I told myself laughing again "I'm mad, I'm bonkers..."

"Yes you are" Kyoya told me as my worthless dying heart sunk a little "But all the best people are"

I looked up at him and smiled.

"Did you just quote Alice in Wonderland..?"

"Why yes, yes I did" Kyoya smiled at me "I didn't see you as a pessimistic type of person"

"I didn't see you as a reader" I moved my hair out of my face "But it's best to not judge a book by its cover isn't that right Mr Ootori?"

"Kyoya" He told me leaning back into the chair "It's just Kyoya"

"Alright Kyoya, thank you for talking to me" I looked out the window "My last days won't be so bad after all"

"What?"

"I hear the doctors and my mother talk outside when they think I'm sleeping" I say twiddling my thumbs "Apparently I'm getting worse and they can't find a match for me, they say I won't last very long"

"That's what they always say" Kyoya reassured me "And then-"

"And then a miracle happens?" I said dryly "I spent years watching movies like that"

"But look on the bright side-"

"Bright side?" My voice slowly cracking "There is no bright side, I'm going to die soon and there's nothing anyone can do about it a-and-"

"Being nice never works out for me..." I heard him mutter before I suddenly found myself in his embrace.

"W-what are you..?"

"Okay let's say there is no bright side" He started as I listened "There is no bright side to look at and you're surrounded by the darkness"

Well that makes me feel better about dying...

"Remember" I tilted my head up to look at him directly in the eye.

I wrapped my arms around his neck as his grip tightened.

"When there is no bright side to look at, I'll sit in the dark with you to keep you company" He whispered in my ear as the waterworks began.

"Th-thank you" I managed to whisper as I continued crying into his shoulder.

My knight in shining armor.

The one to save me.

The one to take me away from this nightmare.

Kyoya Ootori the famous 'Shadow King'

Maybe miracles do exist?

~ Does anyone even still read this? It's short because I literally spent twenty five minutes on this.
