[4] TWO RED LINES

***3 WEEKS LATER***

LYZA'S POV

I hate it when I throw up. Sobrang pangit sa panlasa. I just hate it so much.

"Lyza, ayos ka lang ba dyan?"

I looked back at whohas just spoken and I saw my Mom, leaning herself on the doorframe of my bathroom while looking to me with worried look on the face.

"I'm fine, Mom," I retorted groggily as I wiped my face with a towel and walked past her.

"You sure?" She asked worriedly while following me.

I looked back and feigned a smile. "Mom, don't worry about me." I went closer to her and gave her a warm hug. If you do have a mom like mine, well, you're one heck of a lucky person. "—Hang-over lang po ito. I went to unwind with a friend of mine last night."

She pulled away from the hug and looked to me. "You did?"

"Yeah."

"Drink moderately, Lyza. Act like a lady not like a sissy, okay?"

"I will, mom." I nodded and smiled to her. "Actually, mag-ja-job hunt ako today. I'm going to be with Jena."

"Oh, well, best of luck, Lyza dear."

I need to find myself a job. That's my goal for the month of June.

***

It has been two hell months since I graduated in College with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies. Hell yeah, I am a fresh graduate and I'm one of those people who seek job after four years of burning their brains off in College.

"Ang tagal naman ni Jena," I hissed while scrolling on my iPad.

"Lyza?"

I snapped my head up on who just called my beautiful name and there I saw my friend standing infront of me.

"What the heck are you staring at?" I asked contemptuously. "Umupo ka na kaya! I've been waiting for you for almost an hour. Bakit ngayon ka lang?"

"Geez." "Lyza, is that really you?"

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "Oh, hell yeah."

"Bakit tumaba ka? Wow, you really gained weight. "Gosh, you look pale. Tell me, what have you been up to?"

She's Jena Roxas, my one and only friend. We've been friends since our freshmen year in College. We took up the same course and major. Hindi na ako nagtaka sa observations niya sa akin dahil aminado ako na tumaba ako at ang huling pagkikita namin ay noong May pa. She just came from Chicago yesterday by the way.
