(Play song above)

The Jellicles dispersed to their places and with a grand wave of Mistoffelees' paw, the music of the overture began. George, Callus and Hariena practically quivered with excitement, their whiskers twitched frantically and they hopped on the spot. Twinkling lights that resembled vivid cat eyes sparkled from within the gaps of the scrap piles, the music ended and Munkustrap stood first, his broad chest jutted up and his chin tilted high. The kittens watched on in curiosity of their father.

Munkustrap: Are you blind when you're born?

Demeter: Can you see in the dark?

Skimbleshanks: Dare you look at a king?

Asparagus: Would you sit on his throne?

Tugger: Can you say of your bite that is worse than your bark?

Alonzo: Are you cock of the walk?

George, Callus & Hariena: When you're walking alone?

The three young kittens sung the last line of the verse in perfect unison, bursting with pride of their first song. Next, several cats began to stand and twitch their legs to the beat of the music. George, Callus and Hariena followed suit, their practice paying off. Jellylorum hopped out onto the tire and started the next verse.

Jellylorum: When you fall on your head, do you land on your feet?

Coricopat: Are you tense when you sense there's a storm in the air.

A tired looking Jemima appeared and Skimble looked on with concern.

Jemima: Can you find your way blind when you're lost in the street?

George: Do you know how to go to the Heaviside Layer?!

Callus and Hariena huffed as their sibling had stolen the line from them. He gave a cheeky grin before jumping from their perch next to his father.

Jellicles do and Jellicles can,

Jellicles can and Jellicles do,

Jellicles do and Jellicles can,

Jellicles can and Jellicles do.

Tantomile rose for her line, Coricopat followed her movements in perfect sync.

Tantomile: Can you ride on a broomstick to places far distant?

Jennyanydots & Victoria: Familiar with candle,

Electra: With book and with bell?

Bombalurina: Were you Whittington's friend?

Mistoffelees: The pied piper's assistant?

Tumblebrutus: Have you been in an alumnus of heaven and hell?

Mungojerrie: Are you mean like a minx?!

Rumpleteazer: Are you lean like a lynx?!

Etcetera: Are you keen to be seen when you're smelling a rat?

Cassandra: Were you there when the pharaohs commissioned the Sphinx?

If you were and you are, you're a Jellicle cat!
