Epilogue

We walked around the shoreline. hand in hand. I couldn't help but smile, as we sat down and she laid her head on my shoulder. 6 months. We've been together for 6 months. I captured her lips with mine and kept it that way until our lungs couldn't take it. we pulled away panting while staring at each other's eyes. 

we sat there in silence, enjoying each other's company. Until, I decided to break the silence by tickling her. her giggles were music to my ears. "S-Steven! s-st-hahahaha!", she kept saying, "s-stop! hahahaha!". "nope. we've been together for 6 months, which means 6 minutes of tickling." I chuckled. I counted down the minutes until finally letting her go. she laid there panting as her giggles were slowly fading. she softly punched my arm before resting her head on my shoulder. I chuckled at her cuteness, I mean who wouldn't? We sat there for a while, watching the sun go down.

By the time the sun was completely down, peridot was sound asleep on my shoulder. I softly laid her down and picked her up bridal style. she opened her eyes and looked at her position, "steven! put me down!"'nope. its getting late, I'm taking us home." I pointed to the sky. "well in that case, alright"she snuggled into my chest and closed her eyes. I chuckled and made my way back with the beautiful gem in my arms.
