not the same

Jasper pov: 

That little runt has been out for nearly a week.I chuckle at the sound of her groaning in pain. "the adrenaline (or shot) is ready" lapis enters the room with a needle. "hold her steady and lets hope this works" she gets into position."alright" I hold her firmly. I watch as lapis uses the needle on peridot, honestly I feel bad for her, she instantly woke up and screamed. Finally after a few horrifying seconds, lapis took the needle  out. "there, she should be ready for tommarow" she walked out as peridot was trying to get away from me. "jasper, you know what to do" lapis said from across the hallway."right" I took out a stabilizer and stung her with it. she poofed and all there was left was her gem. she should be back in know time. I picked gem up and put in her "soon to be laboratory". She is going to be useful when it comes to technology. 

Steven pov:

Its been nearly a week since I seen her beautiful emerald eyes, her glistening gem, her radiant aura the sky gave her, her wonderful smile, her adorable laugh, I missed it all. After her disappearance, I felt guilty, I hid under the covers, I couldn't even look at myself. The gems couldn't stand me looking guilty, so they always went on searches and wouldn't come home until midnight. nut of course, amethyst would always stay behind and watch over me. "come on steven, stop looking guilty, we will find her, just come out" she said again. I didn't respond. I heard her sigh and go to the fridge to get something to eat. I could remember her soft touch, and the way she made me feel when she was near me. I remembered her soft voice. I found myself getting sleepy just remembering her voice. 

**time skip to the next day**

Jasper pov:

I headed to the chamber she was held in. she was back. good. "let me out jasper!! we have to report our status to yellow diamond!!!" she banged on the glass. "where are my enhancers!! jasper give them to me!!" she kept banging on the glass. good, shes back."welcome back peridot, don't worry I took care of our status, and about your enhancers....." I dropped a new pair of enhancers in front of her and let her out of the chamber. "good." she put on the enhancers and stood up.I got to say, she looked pretty tough when she wore her enhancers. "wheres your laboratory?" she looked around."right here, and its yours." I showed her around. right when I was about to leave her with her duties, I heard banging from the ceiling."The ship is detecting intruders" lapis ran into the room. "not those crystal gems again" I grabbed my stabilizer."lets go" and all three of us ran to attack.
