Peridot pov

It was still dark out when I heard shuffling. The shuffling got louder and louder, so pretty much someone or something was definitely watching me. I kept my eyes closed for a few reasons

1. I am so not going to open my eyes! The worst it can do is attack me,  poof me, crack my gem, etc. 

2. I need to make it think I'm sleeping so I could at least guess the "thing" by its voice

3. Again. I don't want to

By now, I could hear whispers. Almost like, female voices. Curiosity was devouring by now, but I kept my eyes closed and my ears wide and clear. "I can't believe you made us get out of bed for this!" one of the voices said. possibly the leader. "well, at least its something" said a second voice. sounded nicer as well. "lets get this over with. I don't want to wake up like I did last time..." the first voice mumbled the last bit, but I could still hear it. "do what you have to do" the second voice said. i could hear shuffling as if the second figure was backing up. I held myself tightly bracing myself for the impact to come. A few seconds later I felt something sharp go through me and I fell into darkness. 

AquaMarine pov

I watched as Nicole took out her hunting spear and aimed it for the poor gem. All you could see was the spear going through the gem cleanly. A few seconds later, it poofed and a gem landed on the floor. I could see Nicole shiver on the corner of my eye. I couldn't blame her. She has had a rough past, which has caused her to become very serious. But, she does have a nice side. I walked up to the gem and picked it up. "what do we do with this?" I asked holding the gem in my hands. "lets take it back to camp and put it in a safe spot. We'll see what we'll do tomorrow" she said and picked up her spear and began walking back into the direction we came from. I nodded and started walking behind her. 

**time skip **

We made it to camp.Soaking wet. My legs were exhausted, and I had a difficulty on staying awake most of the time, making nicole having to splash me with water. "place the gem in your pouch and don't lose it." and with that Nicole collapsed on her sleeping bag. I put the gem in the pouch as told, and put it next to my sleeping bag. I sat down and looked behind me. Large piles of wood covering the once beautiful scenery of the forest. Me and nicole have decided on building a home here, but we still need to have an idea of the house. Maybe the gem can help us. I looked back at Nicole who was already snoring happily in her dreams. Seriously, nothing can get between her and her and her beauty sleep. I untied my ponytail and laid down. I tried to sleep, but my eyes always kept looking at the pouch. I sighed and pulled the gem out of the pouch and held it. Maybe its not comfortable in the pouch. I grabbed the pouch and turned it into a sort of pillow and laid the gem there. A few minuted later, I found myself slipping into darkness. 

Nicole pov

**Dream**

There I was. Standing. Cuts and bruises all over me. The Small society full of humans that I have encountered, on fire. The cries of dying men all around me. Women holding onto to their sobbing children while shouting insults at me and crying. I look down at my hands which were covered in human blood, while holding onto two things. My spear, and the gem of my friend. Elisabeth. Someone came up behind me and pushed me to the ground, making me let go of Elisabeth. The person saw this and shattered her gem. "NO!!"  I screamed as I saw my only friend shatter in front of me. "Your turn." The person turned to me but I managed to get out of their  grip on me before running. I heard shouts and screams from behind me, but I never looked back. ever.

**End of dream**

I woke up with a gasp. I immediately started sobbing. Elisabeth. She was my only friend. Before I met AquaMarine, Elisabeth was always there for me. Like a sister I never had before. Its been so long, that I guess I...kinda forgot about her. I tensed when I felt arms wrap around me into a tight..a little too tight hug. "Aqua....I can't....breathe..." I managed to say. She quickly let go of me but gave me a worried look, I guess its because she hates it when people cry. "sorry, I just heard you crying, and I just got worried..because you never cry..." she mumbled the last part but I heard it. "s-sorry. I just had a d-dream. About s-someone" I hugged her tightly and let a few tears fall. "was it about...that old friend of yours that you told me about?" she asked. "y-yeah." I said weakly. I didn't even care if she didn't say her name, because I don't even want to hear her name. She gave me a caring smile and helped me fall asleep. but this time, it wasn't a nightmare. 

**In the morning**

I woke up to find Aqua fiddling around with the gem we caught last night. "what are you doing?" I approached her making her jump. "oh, your awake! sorry, I saw this glow earlier, so its probably going to get out soon." she said while looking back at it. "ok, maybe we can make the gem useful" I thought out loud. "yeah, maybe it can help us gather more food, supplies, and even help us with our little issue" she pointed to the big piles of wood we had gotten. I nodded. I'd really hate to have to through away that wood that we spent so much time getting. I was getting lost in my own thoughts until something pulled me out of them. The gem was glowing. I ran and got my spear in case it attacked. We watched with interest as the gem turned into a....well,gem. It opened its eyes and looked fearfully at us. "Nicole, put down the spear" Aqua said turning to me. "oh, right" I said with realization and put down the spear. Aqua turned back to the gem and held out her hand. "don't worry we won't hurt you" she said with her famous smile.The gem hesitantly took her hand and got off the ground. "w-where am I?" the gem stuttered nervously as she looked around our surroundings. "your at our camp.I'm sorry about last night, we didn't mean to poof you" aqua gave a apologetic smile. "I-I guess its a-alright" the gem mumbled looking at the ground. "hey, we never really introduced ourselves, I'm AquaMarine but you can just call me me Aqua. And this is Nicole", she said cheerily, :and who are you?". "I'm peridot, nice o meet you two" she said with  smile. "I'm sorry if this sounds mean and all, but why are you here? and where did you come from?" I said curiously. She froze her smile drooped into a frown.I knew I said something bad, she obviously doesn't want to talk about it.

"I-I'm sorry, I-I didn't- I was j-just cur-" but before I could say anything she held up her hand telling me to stop. "Its ok, I would have to tell you anyways. Y-you see...I ran away...or should I say warped.I'm sorry if that's very little information for you, but that's all I can say right now." she mumbled. After that,silence. Me and aqua looked at her sadly as the gem hang her head down and started crying. Aqua finally broke the silence, "if you want, you can stay with us for as long as you need. " she said while I just simply nodded. She lifted her head up smiling with a tear-stained face and mumbled, "thank you". 

**Ok, guys its FINALLY HERE! I'm SO SORRY! I completely forgot about this! I know some of you guys are upset but I hope this is a long enough ch. Key word:HOPE. but yeah, I currently am sick and writing this, so take it easy on me. also I have a little something,

2,7,8,0  These numbers is the date of a special day if anyone can figure out the date of that special day, I guess I can make the next ch. dedicated to that person :)
