Chapter 1

"Chris!" tawag ni Chris sa kababata at nilingon naman sya nito. Kitang-kita nito ang pagkunot ng noo habang palapit sa kanya.

"Sabi ng Christine ang itawag mo sa akin e! ang kulit mo talaga Kelvin Chris!" inis na sabi nito kay Chris saka sya inakbayan.

"Mas bagay nga sa'yo yung Chris para tropa talaga." natatawang sabi nito sa kababata.

"Ewan ko sa'yo! Basta Christine ang itawag mo sa akin..baka sabihin ng mga friends ko tomboy ako."

"Bakit? hindi ba?" Bigla naman lumaki ang butas ng ilong nito at akmang babatukan si Chris ng dumating ang Mommy ni Christine.

"Hep! tama na yan, tara na at kumain muna ng tanghalian."

"Hi Tita." sabay halik ni Chris sa pisngi ng bestfriend ng Mommy nya. Madalas na bumibisita si Chris sa bahay ng pamilya Castillo dahil matalik na magkaibigan si Kate at ang nanay ni Christine na si Janice. High school pa lang ay magkaibigan na ito kaya kahit na nagkaroon na sila ng sari-sariling pamilya ay mag-bestfriend pa rin sila.

"Chris, kelan ang uwi ng mom at dad mo dito sa Pinas?" tanong ni Janice.

"May tinatapos lang daw po sa business si Dad sa California then babalik na po sila ni Mom dito." sagot naman nito at umupo na katapat ni Christine.

"Yan talagang Mommy kung saan pumunta si Craig kasama sya lagi, hindi tuloy kami makapag-bonding."

"Pagpasensyahan nyo na po Tita Janice, Mom's just so clingy to Dad and I guess they'll be forever clingy to each other."

"Ang sweet kaya!" kinikilig na sabi naman ni Christine and Chris just rolled his eyes on her. Dumating naman si Ren, bunsong kapatid ni Christine. Bumeso ito sa ina.

"Where's Daddy?"

"He's still in a meeting kaya sabi nya mauna na daw tayo kumain." sagot nito sa anak.

"But---"

"Dyan ka na sa tabi ng kuya Chris mo umupo." Janice told her daughter.

"He's not my kuya, Mommy." at umupo sa tabi ni Chris.

"Ren!" sita ni Janice sa anak.

"It's okay Tita, sanay na ako dito..di ba ATE Ren?" emphasizing the word to her. Chris loves to tease her and she's always annoyed when he's around.

"Whatever!" maanghang na sagot nito kay Chris na kinatawa naman ng huli.

"Fahrenheit, umayos ka nga." sermon na ni Christine sa kapatid.

"Duh?! Don't call me on that name." lalo naman natawa si Chris.

"And stop laughing as if I am the only one who has a weird name here, KELVIN." naiinis na sabi ni Ren.

"Wala naman akong sinasabi, FAHRENHEIT." mas lalo pang inasar ni Chris ito.

"Alright kids, stop now. Kumain na tayo." awat ni Janice sa kanila. Ren doesn't like Chris ever since they were kids. Si Christine ang malapit kay Chris dahil magkaparehas sila ng edad, isang taon ang tanda ng mga ito kay Ren.

"Mommy, pwede bang tawagin mo ako pag dumating si Daddy mamaya? I want to show my certificate to him." excited na sabi ni Ren sa ina.

"Okay, anak. I'm sure your Dad will be happy about it. We're so proud of you." and she kissed her forehead.

"Was that the same recognition as Christine had last year?" tanong ni Chris but Ren didn't reply him.

"Yes, the same recognition." sagot ni Christine. Sumimangot naman ang mukha ni Ren dahil sa sinabi ng kapatid. Laging ka-kumpetensya ni Ren si Christine sa lahat ng bagay lalo na sa Daddy nila kaya inis na inis sya rito. Ren wants her Daddy to be proud of her but she feels like it's not yet enough because Christine still gets the full attention of his Daddy than hers.

"Then, I am more proud Mommy here because both of my daughter got the recognition twice in a row. I'm so happy, anak." she hugged her. Ren half smiled.

"Thanks Mommy. Punta lang po muna ako sa kwarto ko." paalam nito. Saka naglakad palabas ng dining area. Paakyat na sya ng magsalita si Chris.

"Congrats Ren, for winning it." naka-smile na bati nito habang nakapasok ang magkabilang kamay sa bulsa ng pantalon. Hindi inaasahan ni Ren na nakasunod pala si Chris sa kanya.

"Yeah, Thanks." malamig na sagot nito saka tuluyang umakyat papunta sa kwarto nya.

Hi guys! I miss you all! I'm so sorry for being inactive for quite some time, I got so busy with stuff plus I still don't have that thing to write so..there..forgive me folks. =)

This is just a short update. I hope you're still interested on Chris Alonzo's story. I'll try to make an update as soon as possible.
