Your POV

You were guarding the blue flag during your first capture the flag game.

Sweet mother of Aphrodite, you thought. It's a good thing Percy and Nico are on my team. Otherwise we would be toast. You smiled. Like the red team.

You suddenly heard a crash in the bushes. You perked up, staying alert to the noise in front of you.

A Latino looking guy crawled out of the underbrush and tried to get leaves out of his hair. Leo, you remembered.

He walked over to you, a grin on his face and a sword in his hand.

"Well," he said, "it's not every day I get to fight such a pretty girl."

You blushed slightly at his comment, but didn't smile. "And it's not every day I get to fight someone so obviously inexperienced with a sword."

Leo's grin disappeared. "What do you mean? I'm pretty good with a sword."

You snorted. "First off, it's not even in your scabbard and sheath. Holding it before you actually spar off with someone will tire out your arm, making it easier for me to beat you. Second, the angle you're pointing your sword at right now tells me that your sword arm is still weak, especially when it comes to over-the-head and vertical swings. Thirdly, that's not even how you hold a sword. You should hold it like this."

You reached over and readjusted Leo's hand on the handle of his weapon. He blushed at being touched by you.

"There," you said, finally satisfied. "Now, come at me, Flame Boy," you taunted, shifting your feet into a readying stance.

He smirked, but looked ready to beat you. "You're going down, dollface."

He charged at you, but you knew what he was going to do immediately.

You easily sidestepped his over-dramatic swing to split you in half from top to bottom. You barely flicked your wrist, and your blade struck his, knocking it out of his flimsy grasp and sending it hurtling towards the trees.

He simply gawked at you, his eyes as big as saucers. "Where the Hades did you learn to do that?!"

You grinned inwardly, but showed no emotion on your face. "Fencing lessons. Eleven years. Eight different weapons. One of them being the sword."

Leo's eyes somehow got even bigger as he glanced above your head.

You felt a kind of bluish light radiate above you, and as you looked up, you heard another voice.

Percy. "I..I have a sister.."

You saw a blue trident above your head.

Percy Jackson was your new brother.

You were a daughter of Poseidon.

Also guys, I'm sorry if my updates are awful. I really am.
I've been really sad lately. Not depressed, but just plain sad. Lots of self-doubts coming back to haunt me. My bro helped me out tonight, told me I was worth it.
I'm trying to learn to love myself, and still be a godly Christian. It's hard.
I've been hurt and abandoned by people who I thought were my friends. I haven't been able to fully trust or out my heart in the hands of someone without being scared for almost 4 years.

I know y'all don't want to read about my personal crap.
I just needed to get it out.
