Even though my relationship with my sister was rocky I kept in touch with the kids and my brother in law. Hannah in particular had asked on numerous occasions to bring Amira to visit since I had told her that Zain had completed his transition by changing his name. Since Amira is one of the most well known models and dancers in the world, Hannah and quickly begun looking up to her and how incredibly strong Amira had been by always keeping her head held high regardless of Ellie's words. I was equally proud of how she handled my sister's negative comments the only time she ever lashed out was when I came back from Iraq due to the bombings and even then she was able to compose herself quickly.
Looking at her, I couldn't help but think of how lucky I was to have an incredible and strong woman in my life as her. She's been through so much yet she's still able to put a smile on her face and laugh as if nothing was wrong
"What?" she asked looking at me with a raised brow but I shook my head with a smile and continued to drive before turning left and not long we were pulling into Elizabeth's packed driveway.
"You get Sofia while I get Chris" She said once I was parked in the only open space left and got out. Both toddlers had fallen asleep halfway through the drive and ever so gently we took them out as to not wake them up from their nap before grabbing their things and carrying them to the front door. Amira rang the bell and not a moment later, the door was opened and Hannah beamed at us
"Uncle Luca, Aunt Amira" she greeted and we smiled
"Hi Hannah and congratulations on your graduation" Amira said handing her the small gift we bought her
"Oh you didn't have to get me anything" Hannah protested but Amira just shook her head with a smile
"I insist" my fiancé said making Hannah bite her lip before accepting and giving her a hug
"Mom is going to be so shocked when she sees you again" Mitch said making us look at him
"Think so?" I asked and he smirked
"She's been complaining the whole time about how you and Amira were coming over and how happy she was that you came to your sense about dating Zain and she's in for a rude awaking when she sees you" he said and we grinned before following my two oldest niece and nephew inside where we were greeted by the Davidson-Logan family.
"You must be Ami-" Ellie's voice rang and we looked over to see her pause as her eyes grew wide when she spotted who used to be Zain.
