Chapter 6- Heartbreak

Lily's POV

"Hello I'm home," a voice says from down stairs,

I creep down stairs to check who it is, please don't be Dad, anyone but Dad...IT'S MUM!

I need to ask her about the sleepover.

"Hey Mum,"

"Oh, Hi darling I didn't see you there, you gave me a fright,"

"Mum I was just wondering if tomorrow night I could go to my friend's sleepover?"

"YOU MADE FRIENDS?"

I nod slowly

"THAT'S GREAT, OF COURSE YOU CAN GO SWEETIE,"

I run up to her giving her a kiss on the cheek, "Thanks Mum,"

I run back up stairs so excited about tomorrow night...

As I open the door and step outside I see the bus drive right pass me, Gemma is sick so it looks like I'll be walking to school by myself. Suddenly I feel a pair of hands cover my eyes,

"Guess who?" a mysterious voice says

"Well I'm hoping it's not a rapist..." I say nervously.

The pair of hands are removed from my eyes, "It's me,"

I turn around and to my surprise it's Jai!

"Oh, hey,"

"Do you mind if I walk with you?"

"No, not at all,"

"I'm sorry about yesterday, you know how my friend Trent said t-"

"I was your girlfriend!" I cut him off

"Yeah, I didn't mean for you to feel embarrassed,"

"Nah, it's fine."

 I could see Jai from time to time taking a glance at me but I pretended not to notice, he really is sweet guy, like really sweet and funny and...EARTH TO LILY STOP IT RIGHT NOW!!

We were in front of the school gate with half a hour left before we had to head to class,

"Umm, since we have 30 minutes till class starts I was wondering if you...wanted to get some breakfast with me," he said in a hushed tone,

as I was about to answer I see Katie running over to me and Jai

"Hey babe, so what---what is she doing here?" obviously she talking about me

"Oh, Lily and I walked to school," explained Jai

"What? Like Together?" Katie says not happy with that situation

Jai nods with a scared expression on his face.

The look on Katie's face says in all, she hates my guts, she doesn't want me hanging around her boyfriend and if I do she will kill me.

"Um by the way Jai.... I already ate, so you can have breakfast with your girlfriend.....bye," I walked into school without turning back, I don't want to cause anymore trouble with Katie, but the truth was I could really use with some breakfast I'm so hungry!

Jai's POV

Everything was going perfect until Katie came, why does she have to be so...and ugh I swaer sometimes Katie gets on my nerves!!! I bet Lily was going to say yes to breakfast, I know that for a fact because on the way to school her tummy was rumbling, me and Lily have hardly talked and I want to, I want her to like me!

"Sooo...anyways lets get some breakfast," says Katie like there is nothing wrong,

"I've lost my appetite" I walk off leaving her behind.

2 minutes left till Lunch!!

1 mintue left till Lunch

and in three, two, one

"BRINNGGGGGGGGG,"

I see Lily walking out of the classroom with her friend; I speed up behind them and when I'm about to tap Lily on the shoulder KATIE COMES OUT OF NO WHERE!!

"Hey Honey, lets get lunch and after school I was wondering if we-"

"Can we please talk!"

"Um...ok,"

we sit down outside on a table under the sails, I hold Katie's hand tight.

"Ok I want to talk about us,"

"Us?"

"Yeah, well I know this may be hard and shocking but....I think it would be best for both of us to separate,"

She looks at me blankly...

"I want to break up"

"What? Why?" she looks confused and angry.

"I'm sorry, but for a while now I haven't been really..."

"In love with me,"

"Yeah, I'm sorry Katie" I walk off into the cafeteria,

"Don't look back" I whisper to myself.
