Stronger/ Kai Parker

Realization

Waking up and letting the sun hit your eyes has now been one of my favourite things in the morning, cuddling with Kai is another.

My bare skin touching his, his strong arms around my body.

"Morning." Kai says? His morning voice is so deep God!

"Good morning." I respond.

"I'm going to shower, care to join?" Kai says.
I playfully hit his chest.

"No." I answer back,

"Why not, it could be fun." He is inches from my face.

"Still no, I actually like sleeping." I turn around. My bear back turned away from Kai.

"Your missing out then." He says and I think he went into the bathroom. I turn around to make sure.

I smile and bite my bottom lip.

"Can this stay like this?" I ask myself.

I instantly regret not accepting Kai's offer to a shower.

I get up and quietly enter the bathroom. Kai's back is faced to the shower head. I step in and I wait for him to notice.

"Glad you made it." Kai says and turns around.

"Shut up, I stink." I lightly laugh and I trade places with him, the shower head hits me and I place my face right infront of it.
Kai holds on to my waist,
"You're so beautiful."

I take a deep breath, which was quite difficult with the water running down.

"I love you." I say.

I turn around and Kai lightly smiles.

"I love you too." He kisses my forehead.

We wash ourselves, I wash his back and he washes both my hair and back.

We got dressed and it was back to business, guessing and making guesses in how this ability reacts.

I noticed something odd, it was hard to catch it but it brought my attention.

Kai added a new ring to his ring collection.

"What's that ring?" I ask and point it it.

"Oh I just thought it looked nice." He replies and turns it.

He took off all his rings but not that one, I noticed it in the shower.

Why would he take off all of his rings and leave that one.

Is he a vampire?
There's only one way to test it out.

When he's not looking I grab a paper and give myself a paper cut.

I wince.

"What happened?" Kai looks my way.

"Paper cut, it's bleeding." A drop of blood comes out of my finger. I look through the corner of my eye, Kai acts weird.

"What the hell Kai!" I stand up.

"What?" He says instantly.

"The ring, it's a daylight ring, isn't it?" I stare at him.

"I was going to tell you." He begins to explain.

"I'm going home Kai." I stand up and walk downstairs.

"Ellie I'm sorry-"

"Save it Kai, please take me home." I say calmly.

"You don't want to try teleportation?" He says.

I shake my head.
"It's too hard now, I can't control somethings. Are you both Vampire and Witch?" I cross my arms over my chest.

He nods.

"Your mother gave me her blood, I'm a Heretic, that's what they call a Vampire and Witch hybrid."

I can't even look at him.

I turn away. My hand goes to my forehead. This is all too much.

I run my hand through my hair forcefully. I'm waist deep in my thinking.

"I'm so sorry Ellie, can you please forgive me?" He apologizes.

"My mother, wow. Okay." I purse my lips.

"Ellie, I'm sorry." He holds both my hands.

"It-it doesn't matter anyways. You did it, and you can't change the past." I take his hands from mine.

He stays quiet.

"I love you Kai. Why didn't you tell me?" I say.

"I was scared, I thought I would loose you Ellie." He cups my face with both of his hands.

"You won't loose me." I lightly smile.

I learned how to forgive, so I can move forward.

I press my lips to his. Gently kissing him.
He pushes me closer to him.

"Do you still want to go home?" He asks.

"Yes, I need to speak with my mother." I add a hint of sarcasm.
