Chapter 2 - The Middle Of Nowhere

David's POV(Point Of View)

I had to get ready for the interview or else I will miss a big opportunity of a lifetime. So I got dressed and headed for the kitchen where Mary was cooking me a nice breakfast. Mary wasn't my mother; she was a colleague of mine that I studied with during University. Since we both were studying to become a lawyer and since we hanged out more often during the lectures but otherwise it was just a friendship nothing more.

The boss was pleased and finally the interview was over. So I was on my way home when suddenly my car switched off. My car always did that sometimes so I switched it on ,when it switched off again. I tried the second time and it didn't want to budge so I went out my car to see what's wrong.

The area seemed pretty dim and ancient, there were no houses just a ranch in the middle of nowhere. I opened the hood of the car and it looked like my car overheated so I went to the ranch to see if anybody could help.

When I approached the ranch I knocked to see if anybody was there. I knocked the 2nd time and no answer. When I was about to turn my back I noticed something the door was broken by where the key was supposed to be. I opened it to go inside and went inside.

The place which I'm guessing is the living room looked pretty neat without a speck of dust.

"Hello is anybody there"

No answer

I walked past the living room to where the passageway was. When I opened the door at the end of the passageway. The room was neat with a bed and cabinets in. The room had another door which I guess was the toilet. I was happy cause I really needed the toilet after driving two hours on the road. So I opened the room and I couldn't believe my eyes.

Laying there in the bath was a dead woman. She looked pale which meant that she was lying there for a while and her eyes were staring at the ceiling as if it would save her....
