The end was a long time coming,
I bid my audience adieu.
The melancholic humming
Of the stage lights is my cue.The spotlight gone dark, I look up.
The sky is void of light
Save for hopeful little scattered stars
Which shine clear in the night.Small as they seem, I know
Of the glory with which they glow.
Reverent and silent,
But beautiful.Dawn breaks from darkness,
Storm breaks the calm.
Sun wallows in grey skies
While the rain sings its song.A song of stale sadness,
I won't sing along.
I remember the days
When I wasn't this strong. But the storm always ends,
Although time seems to slow,
The sun shyly shines
On the bright land it knows.I swear you're the sun, loved by all.
Wake from dark with a beautiful yawn,
So cheer up sunshine,
The rain is gone.
