The Hidden Regalia [Noragami/Naruto Fanfic]

Chapter 1

In this, Naruto and Yukine are older than they seem. They're Hiyori's age, but they look 12.

Naruto POV

Naruto wanders around in his small confinement within the regalia. Yukine watches him with a small smile on his face. Yato's voice drifts in from the outside world.

"Hey, Naruto, you need to do the borderline trap with this phantom. Yukine can help you, but this guy is strong." Naruto looks at the phantom for the first time, and nearly lost all focus.

"Yato! That's not a phantom! Not at all!" It's Gamabunta. With Jiraiya. "Don't you dare release me! Release Yukine, but not me! I'll be recognized! That white-haired man is Jiraiya from the ninja village I told you about! The toad is his...pet, sort of! It's named Gamabunta!" Naruto soon sees Yukine disappear from the sword-scape. He sighs in relief as the battle dies down and Yato leaps away with Hiyori and Yukine. As soon as they reach Kofuku's(sp?)shrine/house thing, Yato releases Naruto. Yukine looks at him sadly before giving Naruto a hug and kiss on the forehead. Blushing, Naruto runs out of the shrine, making a mad dash to reach Konoha before morning light.

He made it. Barely. Crashing onto his bed for five minutes of rest before Sakura burst in, he falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow.

As expected, Sakura bursts in five minutes later. She enters his room, expecting to see him looking up at her with begging eyes, but instead finds him in a deep sleep. She frowns, but makes no move to wake him. She leaves the apartment building and walks to Team 7's training ground, where Sasuke looks at her with shock in his eyes.

"Where's the dobe?" He asks. Sakura smiles slightly.

"He was in a deep sleep, I felt like he needed the rest. We've both seen the bags under his eyes recently." Sasuke nods, but a toddler civilian could tell he was relieved.

Three hours later, Kakashi shows up, his nose buried in a little orange book.

"Yo!" He looks up before narrowing his eyes. "Where's Naruto?" Sakura gives the same response she gave Sasuke. Kakashi nods, having the same reaction as the tomato-lover.

They train for two hours and are about to go to the Hokage for a few D-Ranks when a blond blur appears in front of them.

"Why'd you guys start without me? Sakura, you were supposed to wake me up!" He cries indignantly.

Sakura smiles at him. "You needed rest." He huffs.

"Tch. Dobe." Sasuke words are biting, but they held no venom.

"Teme!" Naruto giggles, joining them as they walk to the Hokage's office. They jump through the window as a unit, and land in formation. Tsunade rubs her temples.

"Why can't you just come through the doors?!?!" She yells with an irk mark on her forehead.

Naruto grins. "Doors are for people with no imagination. Besides, it's fun to see the ANBU tense when we do it."

Tsunade smiles evilly. "Well then, for that you have to find the beautiful cat Tora. Have fun!"

"I will!" Team 7 runs into the forest. Kakashi and Naruto sit against a tree for two hours, waiting.

"Naruto, what are you doing?" Kakashi asked.

"Wondering when they'll realize I have a plan." At the word plan, Sakura and Sasuke look at Naruto.

"Whats your plan?" They ask in sync. Naruto smiles at them, pulling something from his bag. Cat treats. Tora freezes at the crinkling sound. Naruto opens the bag, and Tora dazedly walks over to him. Picking up the cat and feeding it two treats, he lets the cat settle on his head. Purring, the cat falls asleep. Naruto smiles and walks back to the tower, his teammates rushing to follow.

Sasuke glares with no real malice. Sakura looks on in confusion.

"How'd you get the cat treats?" Sakura asks. Naruto grins.

"I sent a Kage Bunshin. The one time I walked away was to meet with my clone so I could grab it." Sakura and Sasuke look at him, shock visible in her eyes. Kakashi, who knew of both his intelligence and regalia status, just eye smiles and ignores them.

"What? That... Was actually pretty smart. Who are you and what have you done to Naruto?" Sakura teases. Naruto simply smiles and looks in front of him.

The full Team 7 sits against separate trees in their training ground. Jiraiya of the Sannin suddenly bursts into the clearing.

"Naruto!" The boy in question looks up curiously. "Where were you last night?" The blond froze, before speaking in a confused voice.

"At my house, why?" Jiraiya narrowed his eyes at the hesitation. Naruto had spoken too late.

"I felt your chakra signature in Tokyo(idk place, go with it)." Naruto starts sweating. Of course, everything he worked for, keeping his death hidden, hiding his relationship, hiding behind idiocy, all ruined by last night's 'phantom'.

A pale blue glow surrounds Naruto. As he flashes away in a bright light, the last thing he hears is Kakashi, who yelled what Naruto was thinking.

"Shit!"

That's a wrap! As you can see, Sakura and Sasuke are OOC. This is after Naruto left with Jiraiya, but Sasuke never left. He was never revenge-obsessed, and Anko snapped Sakura out of her Fangirl tendencies.
