     Growing up, Aubrey, formally known as Aubrianna, was Telmar's princess.

She was a natural born leader, but in Telmar women aren't allowed in line for the throne. They are to be married to neighboring kings, and form an alliance between the two kingdoms.

     For centuries, the royal women of Telmar were married off, again and again, until Princess Aubrianna was born. She was a fearless girl, constantly training with the troops- and fighting the oppression of men in her kingdom, as she grew to be the sweetheart of Telmar.

13 months after her birth, she was gifted with a baby brother, Caspian the Tenth.
     The two siblings were Telmar's favorite by far, and grew up gloriously until the death of their parents. It shook the two to their bones, but Aubrey stepped up and led her brother out of the depths of depression. Surely, it wasn't easy for either of the siblings to deal with, but one of them had to be strong for the other. As the eldest, Aubrianna made it her duty to protect he little brother. 

     Their uncle Miraz took over in unofficial rule of the kingdom until Caspian was old enough to rule himself, but he had other plans, just as he did for his brother and sister-in-law.

Those plans set into action as soon as he was given the gift of a child of his own.
     Just as he had killed his brother, he would kill his niece and nephew, with the help of his trusted general.

At least, he planned to.
