Got this idea from the Internet. It was actually about Thor, but I wanted Bruce to have a bit of the spotlight.

It was the 2nd of December. There was soft snow falling almost everyday in the city of New York. People were shopping for Christmas presents, taking short strolls with their lovers, and buying Christmas trees. In the Avengers Tower, everyone was sleeping, except one person in the science lab.

Doctor Bruce Banner.

Bruce was stressed. He was also angry. And everyone knows that it really isn't great when Bruce is angry.

But it was past midnight, he was in the lab, and exhausted. He had been working all night on his long and arduous experiment to help him be in more control of himself when he was the Hulk. It was not going as good as he had wanted. He was practically going nowhere with it, and he was annoyed that he had spent all night for something in which he was rapidly losing hope for.
Bruce had decided to sleep on it. Rest for at least half a day, wake up fresh, eat good food, and find something relaxing to do. Yes, that sounded like a plan.

He made his way to the lounge, and let out a small chuckle. There was a bunch of junk in the room. Tony had started sorting out his huge, huge attic, and placed all the things he considered useless in the lounge room.

Bruce left the room and sleepily made his way to his room. He entered, and saw that a thin layer of dust covered everything. His bed was untouched, and the curtains were drawn closed. When was the last time he had actually slept in it?

He quickly flapped the blanket to get rid of the dust. Bruce then changed into his nightclothes and slipped under the blanket, groaning happily. There's nothing that can compare to the comfort of one's bed.

He fell asleep happily, glad that he was actually taking care of himself without Natasha coming to force him to eat or sleep.

Bruce had woken up by late afternoon, and feeling the most fresh he had had in weeks, he strutted to the kitchen. He found some of the group in the adjoining lounge rifling through Tony's trash. The rest were in the kitchen eating omelettes, toast and hash browns.

"Bruce! You finally decided to get out of your lab!" Clint said, chomping on a buttered toast.

Bruce smiled. "Well, work wasn't going too well, so I decided to take a long break and gather my bearings."

"It's good to see you relaxing. You deserve a good rest from your work," Thor praised.

"Thanks, buddy."

"Where did you get this junk from, man?" (Y/n) asked from the lounge. She picked up an ancient spinning top. twirling it on the table.

"You know me. I store useless stuff." He grabbed one big box, fiddling with the rusty lid. "Oh, this is my mom's box."

Bruce filled up a plate with food and sat on a chair near Nat, watching the others work. (Y/n), Tony and Natasha were sorting through the goods. Loki was reading a book nearby, glancing at (Y/n) every now and then as if to make sure she was content. Bruce had never seen a male so invested in the woman he loved, but Loki always went all-out for (Y/n) even when she barely noticed his observations.

"Let me see it. I've cleared up this part." Nat stretched her hand to Tony, who handed the box to her carefully. She rummaged through it, bringing out an old-style film camera, a book of instrumental songs, a few colorful, incomplete, knitted socks, and a knitting set. She put the set on Bruce's lap just for him to hold it while she removed everything else.
