I'm nearly crying right now. I'm just gonna let you guys figure what happened in Italy in this chapter. Since my drabble book isn't posted yet since I'm not done with some drabbles, I'm gonna post this on here and then cry. I will post this on the drabble book soon.
Thaovy simply enters the Italian house. She is already known for barging into people's houses without a notice from them, so the nations aren't surprised when she unknowingly goes into their houses.
She places a bright smile on her face, unaware of what surprises her friends will hold her. "Mornin', guys!" she greets.
Instead of a loud "hello," she receives murmurs of "hi's" from her fellow Italians. She instantly gets uncomfortable with the sudden change of mood in the room. Thaovy hesitantly averts her eyes towards Italy, who isn't energetic nor happy, and Romano, who looks like he wants to kill himself. She really wants to ask both of them what's wrong, but she shrugs it off. She doesn't want to get into other people's privacy. It's not her deal. Besides, Romano will instantly decline her offer.
She locks her eyes onto her phone which is on Instagram, plumping her butt on the couch. She finds and account and searches through the photos. A picture of an Italian flag captures her eyes and decides to read the caption. As she reads, she isn't expecting the picture and the caption to mourn over a devastating moment over at Italy, mainly in the middle of the country.
As she reads the caption, she finds her eyes filled with tears, now understanding why both Italians wasn't themselves. She browses on Google to have some more details about the event. Shocked, she covers her mouth with her hands as she slowly cries. Her cries turn into a sobbing mess, alerting the Italians.
"Bella, what is it!?" Feliciano worries as he reaches to her.
"...I'm so sorry for your loss," she sobs. "Both of you."
"What do you mean, bastard?" Lovino weakly growls, his hand crumbled into a fist.
"The earthquake that happened three days ago..."
The Italians' mood drops. "So you know?" the older Italian says.
She nods. "Someone on Instagram talked about it because her relatives are Italian, a–and I was worried about you."
"Why should you care?"
"Lovino, that earthquake had a six and two tenths magnitude!" she fires back. "That caused major damages to your country, and two hundred and ninety-one people died. I care because you're my friends! I don't want to see the country Italy dissolve if that earthquake was the size of the country! I hate to see anyone hurt or badly injured!"
Knowing that she's very caring when it comes to sad moments, Italy tightly hugs the Asian as the tears run off his face. Thaovy wraps her arms around him, squeezing him as she gives him a few pats on the back. She honestly has no clue how to actually help. Lovino silently goes to him room, feeling not needed by her. Thaovy notices his movement, but Italy interrupts her thoughts.
"My people..." Feliciano weeps, gripping her shirt. "I didn't know what to do. I heard their cries...their mourns...their losses..."
"I really wish I could do something to help your problem, but I just can't...I'm just gonna call Taylor to see if she can comfort Romano. She's more close to him than me."
She swipes out her iPhone, calling Taylor. As soon as Taylor picks up, Thaovy immediately demands her to rush to the Italian household as she explains the situation. Thaovy finally finished call, relieved that Taylor was open to be there for Romano. A few minutes later, Taylor appears at the front door. Thaovy leads her to the older Italian's room.
Now, she's focusing on Italy. The poor Italian is still giving her a death grip. She tells him to lay on the couch with her. Instead, he lays his whole self across the couch as his head lays on her lap.
"Again, I really wish that can do something, but all I can give is sympathy," she says as her hand softly brushes his hair. A tear exits out of her eye. Thaovy really doesn't want to leave the Italian. She feels like he needs her. Then, an idea pops into her head. "I'm not gonna leave you. I'm gonna stay here until you're okay."
"R–really?" he questions, unsure if she actually will stay with him. "But what about your family and friends?"
She gives him a sad smile. She needs him to believe her. "I can text them that you need me right now. They'll understand."
"Thaovy, I really don't wan—"
"Stop," she interrupts. "I'm gonna stay here, even if it takes days during school. You wanna know why?"
Out of no where, a pair of lips meet on Feliciano's forehead, causing him to slightly gasp. He stares into her face which has a little brighter smile than before. "I want my happy Italian back. I know the earthquake was devastating, but I hate you to be sad, Feli. If you're sad, I'm gonna be sad, too."
A little pause is made so Thaovy can search through her memories. "Remember when we first met? You helped me from being too lonely even though I didn't want anything. It's my turn to help you, Feli."
Italy returns a sad smile, grateful of her kind heart. "Grazie, Thaovy."
"Không có gì," she accidentally slips into her Vietnamese tongue.
Finally, the Italian peacefully sleeps. Thaovy again plays with hair, aware of the erogenous zone his curl holds.
"I'm not gonna leave. I just want my happy Italian back," she softly murmurs, her hand trailing on his face.
After playing with his face for a while, a yawn escapes from her mouth. Her minds then drifts into a deep sleep as her sitting position is still in place.
Her words are in Italy's mind, believing that she will not break it. She has indeed kept her promise, her hopes having a high chance to surely know that he will be happy again soon.
