Okay let's say you want to multiply 97 with 96 but you don't have paper and you can't have a calculator. You have to use your mind
Easy. (This is only for numbers below 100)
1. Subtract both numbers from 100 (100 - 97 = 3 and 100 - 96 = 4)
2. Take the differences from both numbers and add it up (3 + 4 = 7)
3. Subtract it from 100 (100 - 7 = 93)
THATS HALF OF THE ANSWER
4. Multiply the differences of both numbers (3 x 4 = 12)
5. Put the product of those numbers to the right of the answer. (9312)
