He Thinks He Knows

Full of anticipation,

sad determination,

the eyes of agitation,

is how he looks to me.

He was once a lover,

now a complete stranger,

wanting violence,

longing, to see the real me.

His knowledge was a dream,

his past was a story.

Now he’s sure.

He thinks he knows.

Full of harmful desire,

sadly mouthing “liar”,

fingertips flicking on the fire,

not knowing the truth.

He was once a believer,

once a loving achiever,

now someone so different,

now that he thinks he knows.

Pouring bottles of kerosene,

he rottenly smirks at me.

I smile back.

He thinks he knows.

Angry flames surround me,

as i see him walk away.

He doesn’t look back,

because he thinks he knows.

Flames burn my skin,

and lastly i shout to him,

"Read it.

Read the letter."

i see him open the paper,

the writing turns him into a gaper.

Giving him weak smile,

I let darkness take over me.

You really didn’t know.

but you thought they were all true,

so I spent my time regretting,

I should’ve given more trust to you.

I deserve this ending,

I probably deserve this fall,

so no matter the truth,

I won’t fight it at all.

These are my last words,

this is my last do.

i badly wished to say this...

I think I loved you.

I don't really know what this poem is about... sooo... :) hope you liked it ^^
