Hopefully the group of campers that had gone after the romans' flag had succeeded in getting it. As I walked toward her Thalia switched out her bow for her spear and shield. But her shield wasn't a regular shield either. It was a replica of the shield that her father and Athena supposedly shared.

As I got closer just looking at the shield made me want to turn back, but I forced myself to keep moving, I couldn't let us lose the game just because I couldn't bring myself to go near Thalia. I kept walking toward her sword and shield raised, she started walking toward me, and before long we met not that far from the flag. She made the first move, and I dodged a blow from her spear. I tried a strike at her, but she blocked it with her shield. For a while the fight continued like that, both of us trying to hit the other, and either avoiding or blocking them.

Thalia's point of view

I suspected that the capture the flag game would be more difficult than most, but I knew that if we did lose, we weren't going to do it without a fight. I had tried to come up with the best plan I could think of in order to win the game, but I couldn't help but wonder if it would be good enough.

We fought off the romans who tried to come after our flag, including Frank Zhang who tried to sneak up on us as a bird. Not long after that though, a group of camp half-blood campers found their way to us. My three sisters who had stayed to guard the flag with me went to fend them off, I stayed put just in case someone else tried to sneak up on us while we were distracted.

As the camp half-blood campers had approached I couldn't help but notice that one of them was Luke, Percy's Son. Although he's only twelve, I knew I couldn't afford to underestimate him. Based on what I had heard about what he had done during the war it sounded like he was a pretty good fighter already. Besides I couldn't let him beat me, if I did Percy would never let me live it down.

Luke managed to fight off my sister Megan,we aren't really related but after being in the hunt for so long all the other hunters were like sisters to me. Luke came toward me. When he was still far enough away I fired a couple arrows at him, but they stopped in midair and dropped to the ground before they were even close to him. Damn it, he had obviously inherited some power over time from Percy, and he knew how to use it. Once I figured that out I quickly put my bow away and instead took out my spear along with Aegis. When he saw my shield he hesitated, but kept on coming. Usually my shield would immediately make some one shy away from me, but he didn't stop. I began walking toward him while still keeping an eye open for anyone who might try and steal our flag.

As soon as Luke and I were close enough to each other, our weapons clashed, and we fought both of us hoping that our groups would win the game. Before long I knew that the stories about what Luke had done during the war weren't exaggerating, although I had expected it, it was clear that Luke was a great swordsman, and wasn't going to be easy to defeat.

After a while of exchanging blows, I started to wonder if I would need to resort to my powers. I can do more with my powers now than I used to, after I found out what Jason could do I started to see if there was more I could do. I hadn't tried to use the winds to fly like Jason because of my fear of heights, but I can still manipulate them and use them to my advantage. All I knew was if I let Luke beat me I would never hear the end of it.

After exchanging several more blows with Luke I decided that it might be quicker to use my powers, while still exchanging blows with Luke I tried to concentrate long enough to use my newly discovered powers. I made a gust of wind hit him. He momentarily stumbled at the strong unexpected gust. Just as I tried to take advantage of that, he just managed to bring his shield up in time to block my blow. I guess it wasn't hard for him to figure out that I had used my powers, so he put his to use.

That was when I suddenly found it harder to move, we fought for a bit longer, but he caught me off guard with a sword technique I hadn't seen before, and darted past me. He grabbed our flag and started running back the way he had come. I started chasing after him but he still had time slowed, not long afterward he must have let time return to normal and I sped up, my sisters tried to stop him with arrows, but he would stop them with his powers. By the time I was close enough to him to try and stop him we were nearing the creek, I lunged at him, but he made it across and I just got a face full of water. The conch horn blew signaling the end of the game, and I cursed in ancient Greek. I wasn't looking forward to my next conversation with my cousin.

A/N  I'm guessing not everyone will be pleased with this chapter but oh well, as much as I like the huters I felt it was time for camp to win.
