Chapter One

Jennifer's POV

I sat in the car beside Luis. Luis is my twin brother and he's into hockey. He played for Team USA aka The USA Ducks 5 years ago up until this past year. His team got scholarships to attend Eden Hall. He did but we decided to move from Minnesota to California.

Luis wasn't that thrilled about it. He had to leave his hockey team of 5 years, Minnesota which he had grown to love and lastly, his snobby cheerleader girlfriend.

I choose to go to a public school my whole life. I tried Eden Hall but it didn't suit me. I transferred back to public school. I was the most popular girl of my grade. I wasn't the snobby, rich and mean popular girl though. I was just an average girl. I had a sweetheart personality with a heart of gold. I was pretty. At least that's what everyone told me.

I can stand up for myself. I grew up wrestling with Luis so I could easily win a fight. But I had a lot of self control so it took a lot to tick me off.

We used to live in this valley until Luis and I were 8. We then moved to Miami then to Minnesota. I had played at the Sandlot by myself when we lived here. I always wore my hair in a french braid so these boys my age called me braids. They always kicked me off their field but I slowly earned that nickname after them kicking me out so much. I still remember them all. Benny, Kenny, Bertram, Timmy, Tommy, Yeah Yeah and Ham.

That's the thing, well.... There's no way they could remember me. I never gave them my real name so that's how I developed a nickname. I don't look anything like my 8-year old self anymore also.

I was snapped out of mentally writing my autobiography when Luis shook me out of it. "Earth to Jen!?" Luis said. I pushed him.

"What? I just wanted to tell you we're here." He said, slighty grinning. I rolled my eyes and got out of the car. I closed the door and took in the smells of the warm and breezy Californian. I smiled as I thought to myself. I'm back baby!

I looked across the street as a school bus pulled up. I saw kids get off. I quickly remembered it was the last day of school today and let me tell you. HALLELUJAH BABY! I mean like that's awesome because I didn't have to go to school till August.

I watch all of the kids get off and my eyes land on a tall male. He had tan skin with jet black hair.

No it can't be

Well........

It looks like Ben-

I was cut out of my mental debate by another male yelling at the thought to be Benny. "Okay Benny man, we'll meet you at the Sandlot in 20." I snapped my head the way that the voice was coming from. HAM!
