Once Sirius and Albus are gone, I feel a pang of sadness. I do miss them, but what Neville said was right. They do live on, in our hearts. And they will forever.

Harry, Ron, and I leave the castle and stand on a cracked and broken bridge, the bright sun shining down on us for the first time in a while. Harry has a wand in his hand, and I know it's the one Voldemort was using. The Elder Wand, from the story.

"Voldemort was wrong," Harry says. "It never belonged to Snape. That night in the Astronomy Tower, Draco disarmed Dumbledore first. But then, I disarmed Draco, so that makes it mine."

"What are you going to do with it?" Ron asks. "I mean, that's the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in the world. With that, you'd be invincible."

Harry looks down at it, but then snaps it in half and throws the pieces over the bridge into the cavern below.

I turn to face the sun, and the other two do too. And right now, with Voldemort gone and my two friends beside me, all is well.
