This is a common question I receive in the comments; "If you don't believe in God, why do you hate him and complain about him so much?"
I don't hate God. Sure - I complain about him a lot, I question his ways, and I get mad at him.
"How can you get mad at someone you don't believe in?"
Here's the thing:
I don't believe God is real.
Therefore, I can't actually hate him or be mad at him. Here's how I think of it:
You know how there's that one character in your favorite TV show that you hate? I hate the character "Andrea" from The Walking Dead. I hate "Abby Griffin" from The 100. I get mad at them for doing stupid things. I complain about them, I rant about them, and I become upset at their actions and words.
Do I believe the characters of Abby Griffin and Andrea are real people? No, I do not. They're fictional characters from television shows, of course they're not real.
"If you don't think Andrea and Abby Griffin are real, why do you hate them so much?"
See how that question makes no sense in this context?
I think God is merely a fictional character from a storybook. Therefore, I can get mad at him and complain about him all I want because I think he's just some guy people made up.
