I decided cold wasn't the way yo go. I had texted Rogan that I wasn't in the mood. He hadn't responded. I also had texted ricky sayign he was right, the other guy was on my mind. Unlike Rogan he had texted back saying He understood and was honestly going through the same thing with this girl he had met earlier, but that he was still here if I ever wanted or needed him.
Oh gosh which one seemed like more of the romantic?
Ricky was sweet and Rogan was a pain in my ass.
A cold morning walk seemed l like good idea at the moment. I'd pack my bag with some work and go to starbucks and grab a tea-latte and sit down and clear my thoughts and concentrate.
Pulling on some jeans I shrugged on a sweatshirt and my jacket, bundling up with a hat, scarf and mittens. I slung my bag of homework over my shoulder and opened the door softly, padding out in my boots and closing it behind me.
The walk downtown was a chilly one. I stayed as close as I could to the brick walls trying to avoid the raging and frigid gusts of stale wind beating agaisnt my frame. My bones chilled and I shivered as though it was a form of dancing. I clutched my bag to my side with a fierce grip.
It was honestly the coldest day I've ever witnessed.
I barred my teeth against the cold nipping at my skin.
I hastily pushed open the glass doors to the starbucks and sighed. My eyes had been waterign from the chill. Rubbing my arms up in down, I took my spot in line, which wasn't as long as it could have been. Two Girls stood infront of me, impatiently jabbing at their iphones, the lines next to us had four men doing the same thing.
I sighed and waited. My phone buzzed in my pocket impatiently, I ripped it out and stared in frustration. Pressing the talk button I brougth it to my ear.
" Hello?" I scoffed, my voice catching.
" Guess who." The monotone voice asked.
"An asshole?" I coughed back.
" You guessed right, I was on my way to the comic shop and saw you sneaking into starbucks. Look I want to talk. Can we?" His voice sounded almost sincere.
I sighed, runnign a hand over my face and rubbing my eye. " Yeah, fine, you stalker." I yawned. On the other end of the phone I could make out a yawn too, it was muffled but still a yawn. I smiled softly.
" I'll be right there."
"Mhm." I yawned again pressing the end call button on my phone.
I finally reached the counter. I smiled at the girl behind the counter, she mustered up a flustered smile back. " What can I get cha?" She clicked leaning against the counter. Her voice irritated me; it was whiney and bored. I sighed.
" Uh, pepermint tea latte please." I whispered looking away. She nodded and turned her back to me searchign for a cup. The jingle of the door opening caught my attention and I turned around.
Rogan's windswept hair was fluffy around his face. His glasses fogged. He smiled meekly at me and took a stop in line behind me not saying a word. The girl behind the counter turned around and handed me my beverage. I shoved the change in her hand gently and watched her oggle over the man behind me. Rolling my eyes I stalked over to a corner table at the back of the store and shrugged into a seat dropping my bag on the ground.
I sipped my tea-latte with both hands, smiling at the heat it produced. It burned down my throat with a minty sensation, the milk froth was pleasant. A soft piano tune played dulley in the backround. I closed my eyes and took another sip.
