My eyes gently fluttered open, hair strewn across the pillows and my face. I tried twisting and moving my body back and forth, but a strong arm kept a firm grip around me. I could feel the vibrations of breathing through my back, a head nuzzled into my neck softly, pulling me directly agaisnt it. It's body warmth flooded throbbed agaisnt me like a pulse bruise from falling down.
I tried twisting my neck to see this face, but no luck prevailed. Instead I felt a gentle clench on the rim of my left ear. Was I being bitten? I began wiggling under the grasp, my legs kicking and my hips rocking back and forth as if I were dancing. I was stuck. This only made deeper vibrations ring through my back from the deep chuckles emmiting from behind me. It bit my ear a little harder then let go and sniffed my hair, sharp breathing intakes of trying to take in scent sounded. It reminded me of a dog.
" Mmm, You smell good." He chuckled, pulling me tighter agaisnt his chest. I smiled and was thankful he couldn't see the light blush that had spread across my cheeks. Turning in his arms, I looked at his morning face.
Rogan's eyes were bright, the gray irises were lit up and luminous. A soft smile played across his lips.
" Your beautiful." He smiled.
Butterflies swarmed my stomach, some trying to fly up my windpipe and escape through my mouth. I smiled shyly back.
" You have morning breath."
His happy and gentle expression tranformed into a deadpan look. His jaw dropped open and his eyes spoke the words that weren't comming out of his now slack mouth.
" Well you kick like a kitten having a ravid seizure and drool as if niagra falls itself was pouring out of your mouth," Rogan smirked," Oh and you think my morning breath is bad? You have dragon's breath." He hmphed triumphantly.
"Well then." I fussed leaping out of bed. I made it with one leg off noticing I was wearing a pair of boxers and a baggy t-shirt as pjs, before Rogan hands gripped my waist and pulled me back to him, resting in the warmth of his arms. He nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck again, burrying his face in my hair. I rolled my eyes.
" But your also warm, cuddly and," he paused and took a deep breath, smelling my hair again," comforting."
I blushed, and this time he saw. The corners of his mouth turned up in a delicate smile.
" Coffee?" He coughed sitting up, revealing a bare chest. I eyed him carefully and he pulled the blackets around his torso. I shook my head in answer. Yuck coffee, even if you add milk and sugar, it's bitter taste burned down my throat like bile.
" Tea? Orange Juice? Milk?" Rogan turned his head towards me and gave a quizzical glance.
" Tea please." I croaked. Rogan stiffled a laugh and reached over the edge of the bed for a grey t-shirt. Slipping it on he leaped off the bed and headed into the kitchen. I decided to follow. My footsteps padded against the soft pale blue carpet of his room and hallway. Turning the corning I found him brewing his coffee a kettle stirring on the stove. Rogan glanced up from the coffee machine non-chilantly.
" Meow."
His eyebrows furrowed and confused expression crossed his face. I shrugged and pulled up a stool that was lying around up to the counter. Rogan took the noisy kettle off the stove and poured the water into a glass mug with puppies. I grabbed a lonely teabag off the counter and seaped it in. I raised my eyebrows in questioned about the choice in cups he has, but he just shrugged and tried hidding the slight grin that played across his lips while slidding my mug across the counter top and turning to his coffee machine.
The sound of muffled groaning and argueing sounded from up the hallway. Rogan turned around and arched his eyebrow. I shrugged. What could Mark be doing in there?
Moments later the door flew open with a clank agaisnt the wall and out came tumbling a cute redheaded girl laughing hysterically. Mark tumbled out in mere seconds after the girl. He roared playfully and picked her up by the waist; she continued to laugh.
Rogan cleared his throat to get there attention, a small smirk dancing on his lips. Mark hastily turned around and faced us, the girl still up in the air, held by his arms. Her hair fell around her shoulders like vibrant flames and a flushed expression emerged on his face.
Mark just tolled his eyes and set the girl down. " go'mornin Rogan, go'mornin Cora." He grinned sloppily. I smiled." Morning Mark," I averted my eyes to the friend and smiled kindly. She smiled back.
"Morning to you all." Rogan smiled and looked at me," I have to get you back to your dorm for studies, don't I?"
I nodded and smiled. Rogan rolled his eyes and mumbled something about turning into a taxi driver and how a dungeon master should not be a taxi driver. I rolled my eyes in response and went to find my proper attire from the night beforem since I realized I was in there kitchen dressed in Rogan's t-shirt and boxers. I blushed, what a hell of a expression. I got up and scampered down the hall. Mark whistled playfully and the redhead slapped his chest and shook her shook.
In the car it was as if everything was back to normal, which is good. I liked normal, and so did Rogan. Good'ol bantering and snide comments and laughing. My phone vibrated against my leg, I groaned and picked it up. I bit my lip and stared blankly ahead.
" Cat got your tongue?" Rogan asked, sending me a side glance. I shrugged and looked down at the message.
I hope you had a good time last night, I know I did! <Ricky>
I closed my eyes in defeat.
Rogan nodded without even knowing what was going on, as if he knew.
" Ricky, right?"
I nodded and gave him look. He rolled his eyes. " The dungeon master knows all young druid." I slapped his shoulder and he smiled.
He stopped in the parking lot and I jumped out of the car, " Thanks," I whispered before shutting the door he nodded casually and drove off.
I never thought I'd have to choose.
I kept walking.
I stopped infront of the hard wooden door to my dorm, no lights shined fro beneath it.
I never thought I'd have to tell someone I picked someone else. Opening the door and shutting it swiftly I collapsed onto my bed.
I didn't even want a relationship.
