♢ his first reaction is relief. seeing you alive after so many years of believing you were dead fills him with so much emotion
♢ his second reaction is fury. he knows first hand the cruel ways of galrans and he cannot believe he let them manipulate someone who was so close to him (again)
♢ he looses even more sleep than he was before and he goes a little crazed looking for ways to get the real you back
♢ he becomes more violent, too, when fighting. he notices it after a while and it honestly terrifies him. he doesn't like the person he is becoming but he knows he needs to get you back
♢ whether he admits it or not, he heavily relies on the other paladins to keep him grounded
Keith
♢ he is sooo mad at first, seeing you with the enemy. he doesn't even realize that you may not really be you
♢ after seeing how the galra is controlling you, he just dives in head first into getting you back
♢ he is ready to knock you out and drag you to a cryopod if that's what it takes, he can deal with handling your recovery later
♢ he just wants you away from the enemy and safe
♢ if you do happen to end up being put in a cryopod while they figure things out, keith spends a lot of his time sitting next to you, searching desperately for a way to counteract the mind control
Lance
♢ he is absolutely heartbroken over everything; thinking you were dead when you weren't, you being manipulated, the fact that he is pretty much helpless in the situation
♢ the others notice how his jokes stop, even if he tries to remain positive. he just can't get you off of his mind
♢ the first person he goes to is pidge; he wants to know everything and anything she knows about mind control. he then goes to allura with the same question. maybe he can figure out something to get you back
♢ it takes him a while to realize he's not alone with this situation. even if the others didn't really know you, this is just as much their fight as it is lance's
♢ when fighting against you, he can never bring himself to hurt you. of course he'd never kill you, but he can't even bring himself to shoot your knee out to prevent you from hurting himself
Pidge
♢ fucking pissed is an understatement
♢ she's done with having her loved ones ripped away from her by the galra
♢ she throws herself into research even more, finding any new way to get you and her family back
♢ she gets more reckless, throwing herself into tricky situations she thinks could help get you back and needless to say the other paladins aren't very happy they want pidge to be safe
Hunk
♢ he is determined to get you back. nothing will get in his way. like how he was when he needed to save shay
♢ honestly he's just glad you are alive. you nay not be okay, but that is workable
♢ he gets so worked up tho when everything finally soaks in. he starts panicking, thinking of the worst, on the verge of tears until he works himself down or someone else talks to him (lance tbh)
♢ he's the team motivator who keeps everyone on track to save you (which gets repetitive but he doesn't care)
♢ hunk is constantly playing scenarios over in his head; how to save you, what he'll say to you after he saves you, what to do if you attack him, etc
Allura
♢ like pidge she is furious and hellbent on getting you back
♢ immediately, she thinks of a plan. and backup plans. any way to get to you, to help you, she's thought of it
♢ she freezes when she sees you in person for the first time. its like she is seeing a ghost, which she kind of is
♢ its really hard for her to stay strong in front of her team, but she still manages to do it
♢ you know she will smash through anyone to get to you she's strong af and she's ready to fight
Coran
♢ he gets pretty quiet and slow to react to the other's questions
♢ he can't loose another family
♢ he goes through all his archives, there has to be something in all of the stories he has heard there has to be something that can help him reverse the effects of the mind control
♢ after the initial shock, he's back in the game ready to do anything it takes to get you back. he makes it very clear you are not to be harmed since you aren't in control
♢ tbh,,, he's ready to face zarkon himself at this point. allura is there to talk him out of it tho
