"Maya...he's so mad...it's all my fault!" I sob into her shoulder.
"No sunshine, it's not. He's being a jerk."
"Uh oh, that's not a good face."
"Oh it definitely is, it's the face of a protective best friend." She stands up determined.
"What are you gonna do peaches?" I say sniffling.
"I'm talking to the bull riding huckleberry." She says and I frown.
"I never even told you how the father was..." I say confused.
"Oh come on Sunshine, you've been crushing on him since seventh grade. We all know you wouldn't do anything with anybody all." She says. I just burry my face in my hands.
"Don't worry sprinkles, I'll talk some sense into him."
This is just a short chapter before Maya talks to Lucas so there isn't any confusion. Sorry, I'll update soon!
