His evil laugh will forever taint my ears as he looks at me grinning "say goodbye Maria" before I can do anything he plunges the knife into my brothers chest, I scream a painful cry "NOOO! you Bastard" he laughs and laughs while my world comes crashing down, the only bloody relative I have left has just died "This is what happens to those that get in the way Maria" he points the knife towards me and I gasp. scooting backwards he crawls towards me and I know he is going to kill me as well. "Don't worry Maria I will reunite you with your brother" He was to quick I couldn't move, I feel a searing pain in my stomach he just stabbed me oh god I'm going to die I thought to myself as I fell to the floor, I manage to look over to my dead brother and an unconscious Lena a tear escapes my eye "Robert" I whisper. My eyes start to feel heavy but before I fully slip into the world of the dead I hear faint noises of sirens. "Robert I love you"
"MARIAA!" a frantic voice snaps me out of my sleep, Lena has tears in her eyes
"Lena what is wrong?"
"You had that nightmare Mija" she sniffs
Tears spring to my eyes "I miss him so much Lena"
"I know Dulces(sweets)"
"I don't know if Paolo is alive after Viktor beat him but Lena you're right we are not safe, Paolo had pictures of us, of everything, he is coming to America, he wants you" she gasps
"But Like hell am I letting him touch you again"
"Oh Mija what are we going to do?"
"We have two options Lena"
I sit there and stare at her then my eyes travel to her stomach and I frown
"There is no way I'll let him harm that baby"
"We have to kill him!" Lena says
"We cannot Lena think about it"
She sighs "Your right Mija, what is our options then huh?"
"One: we run like we've never run before, we are very good at it-" I pause
"Or??" Lena waits unpatiently
"We take Viktor's offer and seek refuge in his house that I presume Is heavily guarded no?"
She sits there thinking about it with a frown on her face. hearing noises coming from down the hall we grabs each others hands as there is a knock on my bedroom door
"Boss is waiting" Nikolai says softly, I nod and take my time getting out of bed. Lena tugs my hand grabbing my attention
"We take number two Mija I am tired of running from him" she whispers
we stare at each other for a moment and then nod, we each take a deep breath and head to the kitchen hand in hand when we see our men standing there waiting for us.
