Jaime's POV~

"God dammit." I complained as my string snapped, we weren't touring, but we had some gigs every now and then at certain events, today was one of those events. Some weekend long concert thing I don't know, I was too sidetracked to focus on it. It wasn't that I didn't want to be here, or to be playing or anything. I just couldn't get my mind into it. I was too worried about the baby, and Allie for that matter. She wasn't handling it well at all. I really just wanted to be home with her, or at the hospital with him. I wasn't into the music right now, and I didn't feel I should be here. But I didn't want to let the fans down either, we had planned this months ago.

"Everything okay man?" Casey asked as I rummaged around to find another string. Well no, nothing was okay really. My family was falling apart basically. Apparently he could read this all from the look I gave him. "Okay, stupid question. Just try to get your mind off of it, have fun on stage." He offered, flipping through some paperwork. I nodded with a sigh, that's what I really needed to do. Playing music had always been my escape, so why not today too? After finally finding a string I finished warming up with Tony and soon enough it was time for our set.

I did my best to get into the music, but as hard as I tried I couldn't get my mind off of things. Carson was almost two weeks old, and wasn't making much improvement. The doctors and nurses seemed to have given up hope that he would...which pretty much crushed whatever hope we had left. To say the least, we were all having a hard time.

"We're going to go drink for the night. Come on." Mike said, walking by me and grabbing my wrist, pulling me along with him through the crowd of people. How we weren't being spotted I really didn't know, but I didn't care. I didn't want to put up with taking more pictures and signing more things, I had done enough of that at meet and greet. We made it all the way outside of the outdoor venue, and to Mike's car without being spotted. "Tell Allie I'll bring you home later." He said, tossing me my phone. I had left with Casey earlier and hadn't been able to get back to him to get it.

"Thanks." I said, nodding towards the phone. "Why the urgency to go out and get drunk?" I asked, rolling down the window and turning up the radio as we got into the traffic to leave. Luckily the concert had taken place in San Diego so we'd be able to slip away from all the traffic and onto the back roads easy enough.

He just shrugged, "you need it." He said plainly. "If playing won't get your head clear, drinking will for a little bit." He said nodding. Couldn't argue with that.

After about forty minutes in the car we finally made it to the usual bar we'd escape too. Hadn't been to it in a while. Since right after Allie came back to town actually. Oh the memories this place held.

**Flashback eight years**

We were all drunk off our asses, me, Mike, Tony, Vic and our friend Allie. Vic had introduced us all to her last year, I wouldn't call us close, me and her, although I wished we were. She was perfect. Gorgeous, funny, sassy when she wanted to be, sweet when she wanted to be. I liked everything about her. I just didn't think she liked me, that way I mean, we got along great.

"No, no I think the funniest time was when I dared you to kiss that high cheerleader, and someone took a picture and the next day you were all popular, and she was so embarrassed she stayed out of school for a week." Allie said to Vic, laughing. We were talking about how stupid we had all been when we were in high school. Sure we were still stupid, but now we were 21 and it was legal.

"Ah dares, dares were always the greatest." Tony said, nodding dramatically. He was such a funny drunk, mainly because he wasn't himself AT ALL. It was hilarious to see a different side of him, a loud side.

"We haven't played truth or dare in the longest time." Mike said with a sigh, Allie sighed with him. They had known each other forever as well, considering he and Vic were brothers.

"Well why don't we play now! Mike you go first." Tony said, taking another, much needed, drink of his alcohol.

"Ohhh okay. Vic, truth or dare?" He asked with a mischievous smile.

"Truth. Definitely truth." He said nodding drunkenly. This game might actually turn out fun.

"Did you ever actually have a thing with the cheerleader? Or was it really just that one kiss Allie was responsible for?" He asked as Allie laughed, she must have already known the answer to this.

"I had a thing with the cheerleader." Vic said with a sigh. "Of course that ended once the whole school found out." He added, shooting a glare at Allie.

"She was a bitch. I did us all a favor so we weren't saddled with her." She said shrugging. "Tony's turn!" She added, looking over to him.

"Hmmmm. Jaime." Oh no. "Truth or dare?" He asked smiling, see the problem here was he knew. He fucking knew. Pick dare Jaime, pick dare...

"Truth." Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck what are you doing.

"Do you have a crush on Allie?" He asked without hesitation. "Remember, you can't lie." Okay, so if I told the truth I admitted it, right here, in front of her. If I lied, Tony outed me, right here, in front of her. Lose lose situation. Great.

I nodded slowly, "yeah..I do." I said, glancing at her, luckily she was in between Vic and Mike, so it would be hard for me to catch the look of disgust that had probably gone across her face. Vic just raised his eyebrows up and down at me while Mike smirked. Someone please go, to get the spotlight off of me.

"Okay, Vic's turn." Mike said looking to him and nodding his head towards Allie. Now they were up to something. I hate my friends I really do.

"Allieeeeee. Truth or dare?" He asked with a smirk.

"Dare." She said with a shrug. She was braver than the rest of us.

"Kiss Jaime." Vic said, turning to look at me. My mouth had dropped, there's no way she'd do it. No way.

She shrugged again, "Alright." She said, getting up and walking over to me. Wait what. She was actually going to do it? No way. No way. But she did. She walked right over to me and kissed me. Not some weak kiss either, a real kiss. A kiss that lasted a tad bit longer than a normal dare kiss should. Hm...maybe she did like me after all.
