Carmen had closed the chat window before the man could say anything else about her team's recent loss. She couldn't deal with the emotion that came along each and every time she was reminded of that match.

At the time, footballtalk.com seemed like the best option because she would do as the site name instructed, talk about football. But it was proven to be hard, once again, to find a reasonable person to chat with. Plus, with no new trivia games to participate in, it left her to reconnect with old friends.

Carmen sighed and reopened the chat window, clicking on the user she thought she'd never have to encounter again. She felt bad when leaving the chats so soon when she was the one who initiated the conversations by searching for someone to talk to. It was impossible to find the same type of amusement when her expectations had been set so high.

Something about "foreverfernando" gave her a different kind of vibe. This user intrigued in every way possible. His erratic personality proved he wasn't one to be predictable, as he kept Carmen's state of mind always puzzled as to what was going to appear on her screen next. That's what she found enjoyable in their conversations. He was mysterious and she liked mysteries. Carmen was almost missing the time in her daily routine when she'd chat with him.

He was the type that made you roll your eyes at every stupid remark he'd make. One of those guys that you could tell just by the snarky comments that he we has smirking at his screen. Besides all that, he left her feeling warm and bubbly inside after every conversation they shared. It was something that Carmen didn't fully understand yet because she refused to accept the thought of possibly falling for this internet friend, but it was at that moment that their virtual love began to bloom.

Carmen's heart nearly jumped from her chest when his name lit up—almost immediately—indicating he was online. She waited in excitement for his reply.
