Legacy Of A Flower: Chapter Thirty Four

Start from the beginning

"Lily!" I was snapped out of my inner panicking by Kakashi. I must've blocked out the conversation, or more so the lecture he was feeding the boys."Calm down. You have to act-"

"Calm down?" I snapped, standing up. It was then that I realized I was actually shaking."Oh, yes! Let's all close our eyes, and when we open them all of the bad things that just happen will go away!"

I closed my eyes for two seconds, and opened them. "Yep, everything is fine! Only we have two idiots that nearly killed eachother, the two idiots who are supposed to be bestfriends. Yeah everything is just peachy, I shouldn't be concerned. So, go ahead Sensei, I'll just be here calming down."

He stared down at me, and I just glared at the ground. I regretted yelling at him, but I couldn't help it. Still I had no excuse for it... I sighed and gave him an apologetic look, which he accepted with a curt nod. Kakashi knew that none of my anger was directed towards him.

Sasuke then decided that he no longer wanted to hear any of us. So, he backflipped off the building like the narcissistic egomaniac he was. I heard him hit the wall with his fist, and muttered something I didn't quite hear, but it was clear that he was frustrated. It was then that I noticed the front of Naruto's tank was deceiving, and the back of it was torn off.

Kakashi appeared in front of Sakura, and placed a reassuring hand on her head. "It's okay Sakura, everything will be back to normal soon."

Then he walked over to me, but I shook my head,"Don't." He placed a hand on my shoulder, and I forced myself to looked up at him this time.

"Just grit your teeth and stop stressing. You're only working yourself up." I nodded, and decided to atleast try to do as he says. I atleast owed him that.

When he left, Naruto walked over to us. I expected him to just walk past, and choose to go cool off, but that's not what happened. "Look, Lily..... Sakura.... Whatever happens, it's between Sasuke and I..."

A serious expression grew on his face,"So just stay out of it." He growled. Sakura stayed quiet, but Sasuke and Naruto have been pushing my patience for way too long. Sorry Sensei....

"That's it!" I yelled, causing them both to look up at me. I glared at Naruto, "That isn't your call. We have our own minds, and if you decide to fight Sasuke with the intent to kill, then expect me  to intervene. As soon as you and Sasuke stepped into this team, Team Seven, your problems automatically became our problems. We deal with things together, not go on our sepeartate ways and see who can find a solution first. So consider this a warning Naruto, next time don't be surprised when I beat you and Sasuke to a pulp becuase you almost killed eachother."

With that I walked off, done for the day. Basil is probably worried by now, and I might as well go and vent to him. He will want to know what happened anyway, besides he won't say anthing to piss me off. Not now he won't, he knew better than to do so...

Sasuke's POV

I knew what I was going to do now. Being here and creating these so called bonds have only distracted me from my real goal. I will take on my role of an avenger and kill Itachi. That's my only purpose for living, and I allowed myself to forget. I am weak because of that, so going to him is my only solution. Orochimaru will give me the power I need.

A knock was at my door, and I stared at my clock. It was ten o' clock, and I was going to leave in an hour or so. I sauntered over to the door and opened it to see Lily.

"If you're here to yell or beg, don't try." I said, shoving my hands into my pockets.

"Beg?" She questioned, furrowing her brows. I internally scolded at myself. I assumed that she would know what I was going to do next, and was here to beg me to stay.

"Just tell me what you want." I hissed, not only growing impatient, but trying to cover up what I had said.

"Sasuke, listen." She said, and suprised me by not refering to me by last name. I saw that her eyes were filled with raw emotions, and most of them weren't posotive. I was almost concerned at the sight of the dark rings under her eyes, evidently signifying she hasn't been sleep well. But I reminded myself that I shouldn't even care. It's her problem, after today she and the others will be nothing to me.

"I'm going off on a mission in a few minutes." She stated.

"And? Why are you telling me this?" I rose a brow."I couldn't care less."

She flinched, too tired of yelling to glare at me,"Please, j-just don't do anything stupid... I care about you, Naruto, and Sakura too much for anything else to happen. You guys are apart of my family.... I love you all." She placed her hands on my shoulders, and looked me straight in the eyes. "Just remember that what you do won't just affect you, but all of us... Try and save us the pain."

Then she backed up, "Lily, just go... Don't worry about me. Worry about yourself, I'm fine." She nodded, but knew fully well that I was lying.

"Bye, Lily." I said, knowing this time it will be permanent. There was a feeling inside of me, and I somehow knew that Lily wasn't ready to say goodbye, but she didn't know that I was leaving. That fact however, didn't stop her from making her feel uncomfortable when saying the words.

So she merely stuck with,"See you later." Then turned around, as I watched her walk off. She was oblivious that this was our final goodbye, and if we do reunite... Everything will be different.

Well, what did you guys think? I know it took a while to update, but... Yeah I have no excuse XD. Anyways let's leave my lack of punctuality alone and go to the....

Fun Fact Of The Chapter

Keep this in mind. In the next chapter Lily will have her hair up. Also before she left she had Basil cut her hair back to mid-back. And yes he is still recovering, but at their apartment, considering Sasuke was supposed to be doing the same but he loves to screw things up so...
