Autumn's Time

Reds and yellows float by
In breezes so mellow
They kiss your cheeks with light
Touches of Autumn’s fire

Orange and magenta
With deepest auburn hues
Light the late sunset skies
When nigh Autumn transpires

Coldest warmth fills your lungs
In ev’ry breath inhaled
During the moon’s full light
That Autumn deigns to sire

And grey clouds break for
the sun to appear and
shine a light so sincere
that all those who see it
must cheer Autumn’s veneer

Autumn’s light shines so bright
That Autumn’s fire ignites
And lets Autumn’s colors
declare now Autumn’s rightful time.
