I put on my shoes and grabbed my purse, I grabbed my keys "Ma, can I go outside?" I asked her. "Where are you heading?" She asked me. "I'm going out with Hayes, we might just go and get some coffee or something, Ma." I told her even though I had already informed her on where I was going yesterday. "Alright, be safe baby." She said, I smiled and kissed her cheek. "I will mama, bye." I said.

She waved at me. I walked out of the house and locked the door, putting my keys into my purse. I walked over to Hayes house and knocked on his door. His brother Nash opened the door, I smiled "Oh hey Neveah. Right?" Nash asked, I nodded "Hey Nash. Hayes ready?" I asked, I heard someone running "Yeah, yeah, I'm ready." Hayes said from behind Nash.

I guess he was the one running, I smiled at him."Then lets go. Bye Nash." I said waving at him, he smiled and waved back. "Bye Neveah. Have fun guys." He said, I nodded. "We will!" We both said while walking away.

"So what are about to do today?" I asked genuinely curious "You said that you've never had Pho right." He stated, I nodded "Yeah why?" I asked. "Because, today you're going to try Pho for the first time girl." He said, I chuckled "Okay!" I said, excited.

Why wouldn't I be excited? I mean it's kinda like a date. Like think about it, he's taking me out to eat, I may be over thinking or whatever. But why not think of this as a date? Nothing wrong with that right? "It'll even be my treat since its your first time eating Pho." He said, I smiled. "Alright, I'm not complaining." I said, he chuckled. "It's about to be lit, trying Pho for the first time and I don't need to pay for anything. Its lit!" I said while skipping. Hayes looked at me and laughed "You're something else." He said, I smiled at him "Thank you." I said, he rolled his eyes and playfully pushed me.

"So are we about to go on the bus?" I asked looking at him as we walked towards a bus stop. "I mean that is a bus stop isn't it?" He said, I chuckled "Stop you're making me feel dumb." I said, he pursed his lips. "I mean..." He said. 

My eyes widened shocked at what he said, I chuckled not knowing how to respond, I playfully pushed him "I'm playing, I'm playing." He said laughing, "Better be." I said as we both laughed, we got on the bus and sat in the back of the bus. We cracked jokes and teased each other, before we knew it, we were at our stop. We got off and walked towards the restaurant, we went up to the girl behind the register. She looked at us and smiled.

"Hey, how may I help you two today?" She asked. "Um, could we get a menu?" Hayes asked, she nodded and handed us a menu. "Did you want the food here or for to-go?" She asked, I looked at Hayes. "For here please." He said. She nodded and lead us to a table next to another couple.  "I like  your shirt by the way." She said, I smiled at her. "Thank you." I said, she nodded and left.

Another woman came. "Hey have you guys chosen what you would want to eat and drink?" She asked us, I looked at Hayes. "Um yeah, can we get a large bowl of beef Pho and I'll have a mango smoothie." He said and then looked at me. "How about you Neveah, what drink do you want?" He asked me. "Um can I get the pineapple bubble tea please?" I asked, she nodded. "Tapioca or no tapioca?" She asked. "Um yeah tapioca please." I said.

She nodded and left. Hayes looked at me and smiled "You're really nice to her." He said, I smiled at him "Yeah I guess, I mean she already has a hard job since she has to deal with rude people almost all day. So why not make her day a little bit easier?" I said, he nodded.

We talked some more before the waitress came back with our Pho and then our drinks. We thanked her and started eating our food in peace, a Caucasian woman came and sat next to us "I just wanted to come and tell you that the whole Black Lives Matter movement is brainwashing you." She said to me, I raised my eyebrows. "What do you mean? How is it brain washing me?" I asked. "Because they're trying to make you think that all cops and all white people a bad and trying to go after you." She said

I raised my hand up. "Woah, woah. This movement is not saying that all cops are bad and that all white people are bad. This movement is trying to show how the justice system is unfair, it's stereotypical and that they're bad cops out there that need to be put in prison. That they should be punished for their actions, some of these cops are murders, rapists etc. Some cops have killed innocent people just because of a stereotype that they had. People of color are targeted by cops and we are standing up against the bad cops." I said. "But those aren't all the cops though." She said, I rolled my eyes and sighed "Dude she just said not all cops are like that, she said that SOME cops are like that and that they're SOME bad cops." Hayes said, I smiled at the fact that he spoke up.

Another Caucasian girl came up to us "Well you're the one that chose to be black, just like how gay and  transgender people chose to be how they are now." I raised my eyebrows at her, shocked. How can someone be so dumb? "What the hell? How do you choose to be a certain race, how do you choose who you're attracted to?" I asked "You know I have never heard anything that dumb before. Or did I just forget that I was given a survey when I was born and chose to be white." Hayes said, I chuckled.

"I also don't get why I can't say nigger, I mean we evented the word and I've sucked black dick before so I'm practically black I mean I got black in me." The second girl said, I was shocked, I even cringed when she said that word "You need to stop. Do you know the back ground of that word? Do you know the meaning of that word? Do you know why white people at the time used that word? I don't even use that word because I know the meaning behind that word and no black people do not say that term because they know what their ancestors went trough, so no you can't say that black people use that term. And you sucking black dick doesn't mean anything honey." I said, she's really  pushing my buttons.

The first girl rolled her eyes "You black people still have your black colleges and black churches so I don't get why you're complaining about being 'oppressed' when you have all of those. I don't get why you guys complain about things being unfair." She said. "Us guys? What the hell?" I asked to shocked to even respond. "You guys do know that the only reason that there are historically black colleges and churches is because black people weren't allowed to have any of those things and you do know that there are a lot of white people in those historically black colleges and that they're actually starting to become more white, and that white people are still the dominate race in other colleges? So please take your uneducated ass somewhere else ma 'me." Hayes said.

I smiled and High fived him. I didn't know he knew all that, okay Hayes, I see you. "I don't get why you are defending her and her people, they don't like us, they hate us." The second girl said, I chocked on my bubble tea. "Her people? I'm shocked, I can't believe you, I'm embarrassed to be the same race as you." Hayes said, I smiled at him. "My people, are you serious? I thought we were past all of that. And if I hated white people then I wouldn't be hanging out with him. I don't hate any race, I don't have a place in my heart for hate, I don't know how you do, but please if you don't mind we're trying to hang out and eat food so bye miss." I said both the girls scoffed and left us.

We sighed, "That was shocking yo, I never knew that stuff happened around here." I said, Hayes nodded "Same here, if we I did then I wouldn't have brought you here, you know." He said, I nodded "Lets just eat this food and have a good time, yeah?" I asked, he nodded. For the rest of the day we talked and laugh, the Pho was bomb as hell too, it hella fills you up, I was barley able to finish my drink, but im not complaining, more bubble tea for later.

Hayyy y'all, I got the idea of this whole thing off of twitter, some people actually said that dumb stuff, so yeah lol. I also meant it when I said that I don't say the N word anymore, I mean I'll write it as an example but I just don't feel comfortable using it or writing it anymore but yeah lol.
