[I'm really sorry it took me so long to update I had to teak a break due to personal issues.]

Demi POV:

It's been 4 weeks since Mackenzie ran away 4 weeks my baby has been gone the police have given up they say there's not much chance she's still alive. I haven't left the house much at all since Mackenzie left my heart feels empty so my family are making me go to an adoption centre again it's hopeless I only want Mackenzie she's my baby nobody else.

We are on our way to the adoption centre with my family I really didn't want to be here at all I just want to be alone just like Mackenzie must be at the moment, alone nobody to help her I should be with her right now hugging her singing our favourite song instead she was most likely dead I hated that thought but that's the most realistic thing I can think it's also the darkest. Soon we pulled up to the adoption centre and went inside my mother by my side holding my hand as if I was still a child we were greeted by a sweet lady who showed us some of the toddlers who where sweet as can be they all waved goodbye to me as the lady said "there is only one kid left but she has some .... Issues she won't talk much" as we walked up to the room. The lady opened the door to the child's room for me and my mom we walked in quietly. There was a little girl sitting on the bed with beautiful brown hair just like Mackenzie had she was really skinny. I finally spoke "hi sweety" I said to the child who's head quickly shot up looking at me. It was Mackenzie I burst into tears and ran over to Mackenzie lifting her up and hugging her close to me "baby I missed you so much I haven't stopped missing you ever since you left" Mackenzie looked at me crying "did you come here to replace me?" She asked sadly more tears slipped out from my eyes "baby my family made me come here I could never replace you" I said

I carried Mackenzie down to the office with the lady and my mom following closely behind

Once we got into the office the woman stated "since you were the legal guardian you will not have to sign any papers so you can go right ahead miss Lovato" i hugged Mackenzie and carried her to our car. My mom drove us home the whole time Mackenzie was in my arms
