Introductions

Nico di Angelo woke up too early. This got him confused. For someone who doesn't have time to rest, he sure picks out a good time to wake up. He guessed he had to wear the heavy eye bags for another day.

But Nico can endure. After all, he had just returned to his favorite place in the world. He never felt so at home again as he roamed the grassy fields of Camp Half-Blood.

He closed his eyes as he walked, letting the breezy wind greet him. He inhaled the heavy scent of strawberries, thinking how this atmosphere was far better than that- hellhole as he calls it- below.

But his moment with nature abruptly stopped when he was knocked down, along with a shriek that made his ears vibrate.

"Ow! What gives...?"

Nico's eyes snapped open and he was startled when he felt the weight of another body on top of his. He looked down, and a pair of eyes with the shade of turquoise was staring back at him in surprise.

Both teenagers scrambled away from each other a good two feet. As they stared at each other in bewilderment, Nico saw that it was a girl that bumped into him. Although her stringy auburn hair was a tad messy, he can't help but notice how good-looking she was.

Nico quickly shook the thought off as both of them had regained their balance. He forced to think he didn't assume that the girl was beautiful.

"Erm, sorry," the girl spoke with a British accent as she dusted off her clothes. "I didn't see you."

"It's fine," Nico grunted with a slight strain in his voice. His body didn't expect to crash down at seven in the morning.

He expected the young woman had gone, but he was muddled to see her still on her spot. The girl seemed to stare at him, as if imagining him as someone else.

Now Nico was quite offended. He knew his appearance looked careless and unhealthy, with his black outfit, long messy hair and pale bony body. He didn't think it was a necessity for people to look at him as if he was to be pitied.

"What?" Nico snapped as his jaw tightened.

The adolescent instantly averted her gaze. "Sorry," she apologized again. "I reckoned you were... familiar."

And the redhead trekked swiftly away.

As Nico set foot upon the marble floor of the Pavilion, almost everyone had surrounded him (mostly girls). His close friends Annabeth Chase, Percy Jackson, Jason Grace, Piper McLean and Leo Valdez were first to welcome him, and Nico thought it was good to be back.

So he came back, Iris thought. I'm done for.

Iris' fingers massaged her forehead after knocking on the massive door of the Big House. She paced through the porch as she waited.

She compelled herself to think that Nico di Angelo was not the person she thought he was. She had entered Camp Half-Blood almost the same time as he did but they never became much as friends. But she couldn't help regard him because, no doubt, Nico looked so much like her late brother. So much, that the only thing that told them apart was their attitude, the way they dressed, and their eyes. While Nico had dark brown, her brother had black ones.

And her brother wasn't someone to forget easily. Once, she had gone so far as to hug Nico crying her brother's name, but he wasn't him, which added to the Iris Stone's Most Embarrassing Moments. She hoped he wouldn't remember that incident after seeing her again.
