The Left Side of the Island

Chapter 2

  Lana’s POV

  “Hey, what’s up?” I ask as Sadie, Andrea, and Liam sit down.

  “Just came for some fries, you?” Liam asks.

  “Just came to get a smoothie,” I say.

  “Hey, you going to Brandon’s tonight?” Andrea asks.

  “I usually don’t do parties, but yes I’m going tonight,” I say.

  “Good, Brandon really wants to see you,” Sadie says reminding me of the crush Brandon has on me.

  “Yet again I like an older man,” I say thinking about Sadie’s older brother Matt.

  “Who?!?” Andrea and Sadie exclaim in excitement.

  “You wouldn’t know him,” I lie.

  “What’s his name?” Sadie asks.

  “He lives on the big island of Hawaii and his name it Mitchell,” I lie.

  “Oh cool, how old is he?” Andrea asks.

  Man were they curious!

  “He’s 24,” I say keeping him the same age as Matt.

  “Oh, that’s Matt’s age maybe he knows him,” Sadie says, “And if he does maybe he could set you two up,”

  “Yeah, I’d like that,” I lie laughing in my head.

  I feel bad, I’m not a liar, but boy does it feel great to lie.

  “Hey guys,” a brown haired, brown eyed boy says.

  “Logan!” Sadie exclaims.

  “How’s it going,” he asks sitting down next to me.

  “It’s going good,” Andrea says.

  “Well that’s good, so we hitting Brandon’s tonight?” he asks.

  “Yeah, even Miss Lana there is going,” Liam says.

  “Apparently she likes an older guy,” Sadie says.

  “Cool, well I know who I like,” Logan says.

  “Yeah, you like Courtney,” Sadie says in a rude tone.

  Logan’s POV

  “Yeah,” I answer knowing that I also like Sadie.

  “Gonna get her drunk tonight?” Andrea asks.

  “Not sure, I think that’s kind of sleazy,” I say.

  “Like Justin is,” Lana says.

  “Yeah, not gonna be surprised if he knocks up someone else tonight,” Sadie says.

  We all start to laugh until the fries get here.

  “So what are you gonna wear?” Sadie asks Andrea and Lana.

  “Hey, Liam I need to talk to you,” I whisper in Liam’s ear.
