Chapter 15:
Juliet's pov:
"Devilina."
And with that being said, Trey looked at me in a way that made me feel little.
"Excuse us," Trey said, pulling me by my arm.
He let me go when we were far away from the living room.
"Do you know what she is capable of?" Trey sighed.
He looked like he was about to explode.
"What?"
"She could have done anything to you! Kill you, paralyse you, posses you, and God knows what! She's a witch!" Trey yelled.
"Shhh," I put my finger on his mouth.
"Juliet you kn-"
"I'm better than perfect. You need to stop being over dramatic."
"I care about you," he said, looking into my eyes.
"I know you do." I smiled.
he nodded.
"Let's go," I grabbed his arm.
"Shit," he flinched when I touched him.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"Did you just shock me?"
"Me? Shock, you?"
What the hell was he saying?
"I didn't do anything."
"JULIET!" I heard dad shout.
"Yeah?" I shouted back.
"GET OUT OF THE HOUSE, NOW!"
"Why?"
"JULIET GET OUT! TREY TAKE HER OUT! RUN!"
What is happening?
And that's when I felt a book hit me. I stumbled and fell on my feet.
It opened by itself and turned to a blank page. But then, the page started turning into some kind of a letter.
"Juliet! Are you okay? why are you staring at a blank page?" Trey asked.
I read the first sentence slowly.
'By reading this, you pledge your loyalty to the morningstars.'
My dad rushed towards me and snatched the book away from me.
"You shouldn't read it! You didn't, did you?" He shouted.
I felt something strange in me, as if something was growing inside of me.
"I pledge my loyalty," I whispered. I wasn't even sure if I was the one who said that. It felt as if someone else was controlling me, someome else was controlling everything I said.
"Juliet! No!" My dad shouted, shaking me.
"What's wrong?" Trey asked my dad, staring at me helplessly.
Black spots were starting to cloud my vision and soon enough, I lost my consciousness.
