            "NEVER snitch."

My brothers cold hand would grip my chin and I would look into his serious eyes, he wouldn't let go until I tilted my head in a nod. He would always do this when teaching me important lessons.

I tapped onto the lunch table reminsing our times together, I would do anything to go back and grip onto his chin and to look into his dark eyes and scream "never go out unarmed."  Maybe it would've stuck in his brain and he'd be with me right now.

"Ire!" I snapped out of my daze as Katrina plopped herself in front of me. "So apparently Jason hooked up with Josie last night, I swear he's a fucking dog." She sweeped her bangs out of her eyes as Josie walked past with a small smile on her face that I only caught.

I sighed very loudly and rolled my eyes dramatically, well hello to you too. Jason, her "boyfriend" was apart of the Nobles, a club made up of gorgeous guys who played girls excellently like they play basketball and football. Jason happens to be one of them and can't ever stay faithful to Katrina if he was paid. I didn't even like calling them The Nobles but there was no way around it when they all walked together. They held all the power in the school.

            "Stop judging!"

I couldn't help but to chuckle at her disheveled hair and sleep deprived eyes, this is exactly why relationships are overrated. At seventeen I haven't been kissed or been in one relationship, they would all be toxic at one point.

She kissed her teeth, "I don't know what's so funny, I swear on God himself I'm never taking Jason back." She slammed her head onto the table and groaned. I wouldn't even call what they had a relationship so she really couldn't "take him back" but I wouldn't dare say that aloud.

"Said thirty four times," I mumbled instead. I pinched her shoulder, "And stop saying God's name in vain, lying on that good man."

Katrina lifted up her head with a small smile on her face, "It's only because of the people he hangs out with, none of them are faithful and that rubs off on him." I snorted and rolled my eyes once again.

"You're making excuses! Sometimes you really get on my nerves," I stood, done listening to her bullshit. I turned and to speak of the devil, The Nobles swaggered right through the cafeteria, every girl eye fucking them or glaring at them. It's either you loved them, hated them or wanted to be them. I was definitely in the hate group.

"How's my hair Ire?" I looked back to Katrina hyperventilating making sure she looked at her best, including unbuttoning three buttons on her shirt.

"I really want a slice of that white boy I swear." A nearby girl said with a flutter towards blue-eyed Ryan, one of the members of The Nobles.

They were exactly three members of The Nobles every year, once one graduates another boy enters. Jason, Ryan and my brother Duke made up the group last year. Although, I hoped Duke leaving The Nobles would be by him graduating, there was now two members.

Before I collided into them, I rushed out the cafeteria leaving Katrina's needy ass behind and being unseen by any of them. But what I collided into next was far, far worse.
