Chapter 9 Heading into town

Yang: You sure you don't want anyone to come in with you?

You look back before you leave they look kinda worried.

(In case anything goes wrong I can't get them injured...)

You: It's fine guys I can handle it.

Ruby: Alright come back soon!

You start walking towards the dropship.

Guard: Excuse me pass?

You: freshmen  here's my ID sir

You show the guard your ID

Guard: Let him pass.

You board the ship and see Jaune.

You:Hey man what's up?

Jaune: Nothing much, just got stuck on food duty with Ren should be fun! Anyways nice fight today. You really put in your all.

(Not really...) you think to yourself

You: Yeah good stuff to Pyrrha and your team!

The ship takes off and Ren begins talking to you.

Ren: Your very lucky Y/N your team is all girls! Im joking but still lucky...

You laugh to yourself.

You: Yeah your right I'm kinda lucky. So Ren what's up with that Nora girl and you? Y'all really hit it off at lunch.

Ren: Childhood friend.. she really wants to be a hero after what went down  in are old town.

You: oh. And why you?

Ren: To protect her and stay with her obviously!

Ren blushes a bit

( Wait my dude really likes Nora... that's low key goals.)

You: Jaune what makes you wanna become a hero/Hunter whatever?

Jaune: Live up to the family name pretty much.

Ren: nice how bout you Y/N?

You: Fix my fragmented past and patch things up I guess Did some bad things Ozpin found me time to make things right I guess.

Ren: kinda deep!

You: Eh not really. Just sounded dramatic.

The drop ship lands.

You: I'm hit the grocery store first. I'll meet y'all at the burger joint?

Ren: Sure were gonna pick stuff up there too.

You: Sounds great.

You go to the store pick up some great ingredients and check-out.

You make your way to the burger joint and sit at a booth.

A girl with a scarlet dress and long black hair walks in.

???: Is this seat taken.

She says to you.

You: Not right now, got some Fri....

She sits down.

???: Surely you remember me right?

You look up and recognize her nostalgia courses through you...

You: Wow. Been awhile huh.

You: Cinder how's it going?

Cinder: Decent, still taking over the white fang one by one. Anyways how's kicks with you?

You: pretty good I'm got into beacon. life's pretty chill. By the way I saw you when I first went here. New job?

Cinder: Looking for new talent. Someone fresh to help out... you know since you left.

You: I know I know... but after that last job it wasn't about helping fauns it was pushing your agenda I had to go... no hard feelings right?

Cinder: Yeah it's whatever you got that ozpin and ironwood guy watching you 24/7 anyway. It'll be hard for you to join back.

You: Your right... anyway Cinder whatever you got planned that's cool and all but if it involves beacon you know I'm going to fight you right? And I'm well aware of your mai...

She puts her hand over your mouth.

Cinder: remember keep certain things secret.

You shake your head yes

Cinder: Anyway I gotta go.maybe I'll send you around...

You: Yeah you might see ya Cinder.

She walks out the store.
