Jacob's POV

Lily and I were watching TV waiting for Mom to come home late from work again. When her car rolled through the gates and down the driveway.

JM: Hola my babies I have a surprise for you.

Jacob: Is it food?

JM: Jacob!- Anyway it's a person, now I've known him for months and want to introduce him to you.

Lily: I don't like where this is going, thats what my parents said when they introduced me to m child psychiatrist during their seperation period.

JM: It's not a psychiatrist Lily, come in Carlos.

A man in chinos and a chequered shirt with obviously fake hipster glasses and a goatee walks in.

Carlos; Hola kiddies.

Lily:... Hi.

Jacob: Actually, because we're both over the age of twelve were adolescents.

JM; Jacob!

Carlos: It's ok Theresa, I was horrible to my mom's boyfriend when I first met him.

Jacob: He's your boyfriend?

Carlos: You didn't tell them?

JM: I was getting to that.

Carlos: Don't think of me as a new daddy-

Jacob; I don't my dad lives in England.

Carlos: Ok then, well think of me more as a friend you can talk to when you need me.

Lily: That's exactly what the child psychiatrist said when I-

JM: Lily enough with the child psychiatrist.

Lily's phone vibrates.

Lily: Oh it's Jojo.

JM: Lily's boyfriend.

Carlos: Isn't she a little young for a boyfriend?

Jacob: You're not her daddy.

JM: Jacob!

Lily: I'm going to go take this.

Lily runs up to her room.

JM: So, Jakey I thought it would be fun if Carlos stayed with us for a while.

Carlos: If it's ok with you champ.

Jacob: It's Jacob not champ, not buddy, not pal not-

JM: Jacob!

Carlos: It's ok Theresa.

JM: I think I'll let my two favourite boys mingle while I go get dinner started.

JM leaves and Carlos smacks her ass on the way out.

Jacob: That's my Mom.

Carlos: Sorry.... So your sister, British?

Jacob: Yeah will that be a problem?

Carlos: Oh no I was just-

Jacob: Good.

Dinner

Carlos: Theresa this is amazing, what is this dish?

Jacob: Empanadas, are you even Mexican?

Carlos: I am, but my mom never cooked this kind of stuff when I was younger.
