Plan A: Talk To Him

"Um... Alice?"

"Dad, we need another bathroom. No, I need my own one," I tell him as I sit up straight.

"We do, you do," he replies knowingly.

"Exactly, so can you make another one?" I ask him.

"Me? Make one? I don't know how to make bathrooms," he says shaking his head.

"Daaaaad, you know what I mean," I tell him.

"Do I?"

"Dad!"

"It's expensive," he shrugs.

"Yeah, but come on we need it! Even if it is expensive. I need it. The boys take forever in there and I can never take a shower in the morning like I want to. I end up taking one at night, but then it gets so cold and I freeze and my wet hair doesn't help. So you see I need my own bathroom," I explain, trying to reason with him.

If we get a new bathroom in my room then I'll never have to wait in line anymore!

"Ask mom," he answers.

Are you kidding me! He always says this.

"Ask me what?" I look up to see my mother standing by the kitchen door frame holding laundry.

"Alice wants her own bathroom," dad says.

I nod. "Yes, indeed I do."

"Good for you, you can want it but doesn't mean you're getting it," she says.

"But mom," I whine.

"Alice, you don't need one, we already have one," she tells me.

"Yeah, I know that but it's always being used," I remind her.

"Even if we would make another one, where would we make it?" My mom asks walking over to the couch.

"Well, my closet is pretty biggish...." I trail off. "We can switch it into a bathroom."

"That's a nice idea and all but darling your closet is too small and where will you put your clothes?" she asks, picking up the random clothes that were on the couch before putting them in the laundry basket.

"In my dresser," I answer simply.

"We'll put it in consideration," dad says.

"Put what in consideration?" Kyron voice appears.

"Where'd you come from?" I ask confused as he copies my dad's position and put his feet on the couch table.

"Them," he points at my parents.

I roll my eyes at his answer.

"Guys, feet down, now," mom demands. Both dad and Kyron drop their feet.

"So, what are you considering?" Kyron asks again curiously.

"I'm gonna get my own bathroom," I tell him, smiling.

"What, why does she get her own bathroom?" 

"Well, it's not official," Mom says.

Hmm.. so they are actually thinking about doing this. I smile secretly. This is good. This is great. This is amazing!

"Hey, that's not fair," Kyron says.

"What's not fair?" Jason and Jeremy randomly pop up and sit next to dad.

I narrow my eyes at them. Why do they always do this?! Everyone just jumps into our conversations.

"Life's not fair," Charlie says jumping onto my lap.
