Birth of a Vampyre ~7~

Start from the beginning

"You you knew when you got here. When I left you alone with Eric!"

"Yes I did. I talked to Eric when you ran upstairs. He was really pissed at me for not telling you, but I told him the truth I didn't know

that you were the girl he was protecting. Please forgive me." I could see the longing in her eyes for me to forgive her. "I know that

Marcus is going to be pissed at me for all of this. You two seem so happy together I can tell that he'll be mad at me." I giggle.

"Look Carrie I believe you that you didn't know until I gave you the address and I want you to be my friend too." I am totally serious about

that. Even though I already know that she wants to kill me well not the me she knows, but the real me.

"Really you don't hate me?" I could see the hope in her eyes.

"Yeah it's fine. At least you told me know and so we are starting on the right foot with trust." Ok maybe not 100% truth on my part, and not

hers either. I know damn well that she was at our little lunch meeting spying, but hey I can tell that she really does want to be my friend.

I finished showing Carrie the house and we walked into the game room.

"Hey baby." Marcus smiles warmly. I probe into his mind.

"She told me the truth."

"How should I take the news?"

"The same way I did. She really wants to be my friend. She didn't mean to use me or hurt me."

"To bad you can't say the same."

"Shut it Marcus!!!" I mentally scream at him and he winces slightly. I see Eric look at me questioningly as he notices the silent conversation

going on between us.

"Damn baby I didn't mean it like that. I mean you can't tell her the whole truth." I can hear the love in his voice. I sigh.

"Carrie you might as well tell Marcus." I say resigned as I walk over and snuggle into Marcus's lap.

"Tell me what?" He looks curiously at Carrie.

"Ok." SHe sighs. "I didn't know when I met Lily that she was the one Eric was watching." Marcus breaks in.

"You know Eric?" I see the anger flair in his eyes and watch as Carrie takes a step back.

"Yes we work together. I really didn't know Marcus. I really want to be Lily's freind and I want you to know I don't want to hurt her." You

can visibly see how sorry she is in her eyes.

Marcus turns to Eric. "Why didn't you say something?"

Eric shrugs."It wasn't my secret to tell and I didn't want to hurt Lily. When she ran to get her phone upstairs I confronted Carrie. She really

didn't know until Lily gave her the address and she didn't want to hurt Lily. I know she is telling the truth on that."

Marcus sighs and wraps his arms tightly around me. "Well lets start the movie and play some Monopoly bitches." He laughs. "Come on if Lily is ok

with it and you really didn't mean to hurt her than I'm fine with it. Besides if you two are friends you can help keep that SICKO away from her."

"Where's the kid that was here?" Carrie doesn't miss a goddamn beat.

"She's my secretaries niece and I was watching her so Val could go out on a date." Hmm I'll have to tell Val about this tomorrow.
