Eldinòr let loose the violet jewel when he heard screams. If he wouldn't have known that Alyssae was downstairs, he would have ignored it, but now he got goose bumps. Quickly he covered-up the ornament, while he walked out of the wheelhouse and stepped toward the hatchway. For a moment he wondered whether that what he was hearing wasn't just the result of a dwarf and a elf who could no longer restrain their lust, but Alyssae made quite some noise and he decided to make sure she was all right. Even more, he wouldn't mind to see her naked by accident, for that was something his eyes longed for for a little while.
When he saw that the others looked uneasily at each other too, even the dwarfs, he realized he wasn't the only one who was worried. He threw open the hatchway and climbed down in such a hurry he almost fell.
He cursed himself internally. She was just a woman. No need to risk his life - at least not on his own ship.
He drew his sword when he saw the dwarf had freed himself from the robes Eldinòr had fastened himself. Something that should be impossible. Oakenshield had bend over Alyssae, who lay crying in a corner. Her face was covered in blood, which made him furious.
He wished he could cut that dwarf in two, but then this whole undertaking would be in vain.
"Go away from her."
His voice was only a whispered warning, but had the same result as the roaring thunder. The dwarf king turned around immediately. His face had the colour of a tomato and he breathed so heavily he reminded Eldinòr of a wild boar.
With a raised sword he stepped between Thorin and Alyssae, but the man didn't back away by the sight of his sword.
"Cut me to pieces," he even grumbled. "That's better for everyone."
Maybe it is, Eldinòr thought, but he wouldn't give up everything after the first blow.
The man was so confused Eldinòr could knock him down easily. He grasped the upper arm of the dwarf and dragged him back to the pole.
"Next time I put you in a cage," he hissed, tying up the man again. The rope was stil intact, so he knew Alyssae was the one who had freed him. He suppressed a sigh. What was she thinking? That she could turn a man who had isolated himself for four years back into the man he once had been, just by a simple kiss? He hadn't expected Alyssae to hold on to romantic stories, but he clearly had been wrong.
He brought his face to that of the dwarf and grabbed his collar. "You better want her again soon, or I will take her." His eyes shone dusky. "And believe me, she's even beter off with you than with me."
"You don't take anything!" Thorin reacted furiously.
Eldinòr laughed. "Easy to say when you're bound." He put his sword back in its scabbard. "The only way you can get her back, is by behaving a little decent."
Thorin turned his head away. "It's her own fault. Just keep her away from me."
"That means she will be with me, huh," he grinned. "But your wish is my command, your highness." His voice lowered to a whisper again. "You are not the only one who wants to rip her clothes from her body."
Thorin pulled on the ropes. Eldinòr smiled satisfied and stood up. He walked to Alyssae, who sat still in the corner, defeated. He believed she hadn't heard a single word of their conversation. Her mouth was bleeding and she missed a canine, which harmed her beauty immediately. Even though Eldinòr had to admit he liked it. She looked a little more untamed.
"Do I have to carry you?"
"No," she answered roughly and her eyes flashed to Thorin, who watched them with suspicion. Wobbly she stood up.
"Well, your love is splashing around," he chuckled, catching a drip of blood from her chin.
"Shut up."
She shrunk with every step she took and unintentionally he wondered with whom she would be better off. He would never hurt her in this way. Not physically .
Alyssae was probably stronger mentally, but he knew she would break when she would go for him. He would cause wounds that would never heal again. Although that tooth would never grow back either. It was an eternal reminder of the aggression of her lover.
