Lies in Blood

Here I sit,
in my only child gloom.
Wishing to talk to someone
who would understand my doom.

But my doom is this:
lonely forever,
without a sister
or even a half-brother.

Until you find out,
life surrounded by secrets.
Lies someone out there
with similar genetics.

Thirteen years older,
that great lucky number,
lies a person
bound to be my brother.

Separated
only by fathers.
But somehow, it
really does bother.

Why could I not
learnof him?
He wasn't even
a silly whim.

Nope, all planned
for several years.
I was the mistake
of the old couple's cares.

They did not tell me
because of race.
He is black
I am the base.

According to dad,
my stupid father,
whites are better
No others matter.

I hate them all,
except the one
who wanted a little sister
Guess who he won?
