We traveled through different cities and my relationship with Peter has never been this strong. I got to know him better and i think he could say the same for me. Different cities, Different people but at times all of them feel the same but somewhat feel different at the same time. Its like this new kid at kindergarten that somehow feels familiar to you but also strange at the same time. Its like you want to get to know them or ask their name but of course the hesitation is there. City after city we managed to get through the crowd and as time went on I slowly somewhat forgot about Thomas. Not him physically but all the things that he did, all the mixed signals and most of my memories of him.
A few days after, the tour successfully ended. The publishing company was pleased on the response of the readers during the tour. Laura the head of publishing along with Julia the director of publicity wanted me to do a press conference just to thank everyone and do announcements and updates about my books.
" The press conference will be on Friday, 20 to 30 reporters from different websites and magazines will attend the said event, along with the winners of your giveaway last month." Laura said.
" Julia will give you a brief discussion about the press con." She added.
" The event wouldn't be as scripted as you might think it will be, We want to keep it natural because we know you'd like it that way.
You just need to say your plans for new books or if your planning into a different genre. And also don't forget to thank the people. And some of the press is gonna want to ask some questions and we don't have any control over that so you need to be ready. That is all basically." Julia said while looking up from her planner.
" Will you be fine with that Anne?" Laura asked me.
" Yeah I think I'll be fine with that." I said with a smile.
" Then I guess its all set, Once again Congratulations Anne and Good morning everyone."
And with that Laura ended the meeting, and everyone shuffled their way out of the room. I stayed there and looked out the window.

And then it got me thinking, I don't have a new book coming out, though I know the company would probably want me to say that I'm working on a new one. And to be honest I'm not really planning on any new book any time soon. I don't know what I should tell.. Before I could continue my thoughts a voice suddenly spoke up...
"Everything okay? You seem flustered." Peter said as he stood next to me, while looking out the window as well.
"Well yeah, you heard what Julia said about the announcement and everything and I don't know what to say, honestly I'm not working on anything right now but I know the team wouldn't wanna hear that." I said.
"Screw the team say what you wanna say who cares about what they want Julia said herself tell the people what is really going on with you." He said as he looked at me sternly.
"People aren't gonna like it." I said as I looked at him.
"Just for once put yourself first Anne." He said with sincerity in his voice.
"I'll think about it." I answered.
" Besides I need to go I have another meeting to go to" I added.
"Okay, just please think about what I said." He said as I bid goodbye.
"Okay." I said to him as I walked out of the room.

Friday rolled around and it was the day of the press conference. Alot of people came. The place was jammed pack with people from different magazines and newspapers and also the winners of my give away.
Juliet welcomed me at the backstage of the venue.
"Anne we'll start in a couple minutes, would you like to go the stage already?." She said.
"Will I be alone up there?" I said to her hoping that shed say no.
" Laura is gonna be with you to facilitate everything with the questions from the media men." She said as she called Laura for us to go to the stage."
As we made our way into the stage, I was looking for Peter, I haven't seen him since I got here. I can already feel the tremble in my knees. Hopefully he'll be here in time for the announcement.
We took our seats at the stage. And people started buzzing and some of the winners started screaming when I waved at them.
Later on, the press con finally started Laura gave them a brief greeting along with a few acknowledgement of different people an companies who made my books and this event possible.
"We are going to entertain questions now," As Laura uttered those words hands shot up into the air.
" What are your plans for next year? Regarding your books?" A guy wearing glasses said,
" Honestly I don't have any specific ideas or plots that can possibly become a novel, so for now I don't have anything new to offer." I said.
Then Laura called one of the winners from the give away...
"Is your your book about anyone is specific would like to tell us? The girl that looked so eager to know said with anticipation gleaming in her eyes.
" I think it's best not to tell for it also a complete work of fantasy." I answered her back.
" As you said earlier your not working on anything right now, but will you getting back on writing anytime soon?" Another reporter from the audience asked.
" Ummm..actually I want to take a break for a while. I just want to focus on me for a while and maybe find a muse or inspiration. So you won't be seeing or nearing about me in the next few months or so and I've made this decision on my own this is not some sort of publicity stunt that the group coordinates with. I will probably move into different city or country who knows I just want to get away." I said trying to sound confident.
As soon as I finished speaking people didn't even bother raising their hands they just started bombarding me with questions like " how long will the break be?" Or " is this your way of resigning from writing?" And a whole lot more.
With questions being thrown at me anxiety started to kick in. I felt a little woozy and light headed with all the attention being thrown at me. I quickly stood up and walked of the stage. The staff tried to asked me what happened or if I'm okay but I just ran past them. As I ran into my car someone called me from behind and of course it was Peter.
" So you're just gonna leave? You didn't even say a thing, we've together for the past months and you didn't even utter a single word about this?" He said with a hint of disappointment and anger in his voice.
" I know but this just came to me I'm sorry." I said while looking at him intently.
" Don't worry I'll be right back." I added.
" I'll be right here." Peter said.
