We made it out alive. So it clearly means that both of us said the truth. We spent the rest of the day in the lake. We tried fishing and we failed miserably and we realized that there weren't any fish in the said lake; we just laughed it off and continued to spend time together. Hours passed the sun started to set.

"Tell me more about this girl." I said.

"Tell me more about this guy." He said in mocking voice.

"Cut the chase Thomas cmon just tell me something about her" I said.

"But only if you tell more stories about him" He said.

"That shouldn't be hard." I answered.

"But you go first" I added.

Thomas had a look of hesitation on his face but he decided to went on with his story about him and this girl. He said that he met her at a very young age and those were the days when he wasn't mature enough to know how to make a move on a girl so he went on with talking about her, then I asked him to be more specific and this is what he said.

" Well first of all I'm not gonna tell you how she looks like because that doesn't even matter so I'm gonna tell you about how she made me fall in love in just a few little steps. First, the way that she makes people happy. Its just so natural of her to lighten up the mood. So effortless of her to make another person feel good about himself. Second is how smart she is, not the type of smart where she's always the first on the list but the kind of smart where you know that she always knows what she is talking about. She has this attitude that when she knows that she is right she will fight for it. She has this aura of sophistication that surrounds her personality. Speaking of personality that is the third one. She is not like any other person in this world. She often goes a little further than most people. She often dreams bigger than most people. She's always, always at the edge ready to take a leap of faith. She's never scared to take a risk. The fourth one would probably be her smile. I don't really know how to describe a person's smile but when it comes to her its just effortless, the way that shallow dimple glides across her right cheek and her lips that that slowly inches upward. Its that smile that has its own attitude and every time I see it, fireworks come exploding in my stomach. Fifth one is how lovely she is inside and out. People would of then describe her as beautiful or pretty but I have always liked to used the word lovely when describing her, the word lovely is underrated lovely means so much more than a person looking good it means that, that person makes you want to love every single thing that life has to offer. She makes me want to love her. She makes me want to fall every single time even if I know in the back of my mind that she won't be there at the bottom waiting for me. Even if I have no chance I don't know why I still love her." He said.

" You haven't even told her yet. How could you know that she won't be there waiting for you? I mean you've known her for God knows how long and you think that you don't have a chance?" I said.

"Well yeah, I guess so but the thing is the thought of confessing to her scares me. Not that she won't like me back but it might ruin our friendship. I'll just wait it out I will eventually fall out of love and perhaps find a new one." he said.

" Hold that thought right there, You'll wait it out? Are you kidding me? You love her now for a very long time and you'll just wait to fall out of love? Well good luck on that. Why can't you just tell her?" I said with questioning tone.

"I'm not much of a risk taker like her." He  simply said while shrugging.

"You know sometimes I don't really understand you." I said.

Thomas just laughed at me. Our noisy banter was replaced with complete silence. he's probably wondering where she is or how she's doing, He's thinking about how much you'd love to be with her. While me on the other side was completely clueless on who she might be. I've always thought that I knew Thomas very well until I saw this side of him. This hopeless romantic, love sick side of him.

"I'll never find anyone like her." he said.

"Huh?" I said sounding a bit dumbfounded.

"You remember how I said earlier that I'll eventually find a new girl but no one would compare to her. Even if the new girl is prettier or smarter it wouldn't matter cause it won't be her." He said.

"Remember what you told me in high school when I was love struck with this guy and I was in a similar situation, its that Fitzgerald quote." I said.

He smiled at the thought of the memory.

"There are all kinds of love in this world.." Thomas started.

"But never the same love twice" we said in unison.

"I should probably tell her." He said with determination in his voice.

"Oh my gosh you've only thought of it now??" I said with sarcasm.

"Better late than never." He said.
