Chapter 8

"Congratulations Anne! We knew you wouldn't let us down." Laura said in front of the whole team.

"Now Julia would like to say something regarding the publicity and the supporters of the book." She added, with everyone nodding in response.

Julia is the Director of publicity, and may I say that, that woman is crazy. She made me do things to spread the word about my book and ways to thank the fans for the support. Heck, She made me do a YouTube channel to inform them on the progress of the new book and make book trailers. The fans love it. the channel has over 5 million subscribers right now and it is definitely working. So no matter how crazy her schemes are I really don't have a choice.

She stood up from her seat and proceeded with her plans. She congratulated me before she started and I just smiled at her. She talked about how the fans wanted more from me and she said that this is the perfect time to thank them in the best way we possibly could.

"What do you have specifically in mind?" Laura asked.

"Well I was thinking of having a book signing tour." Julia said as if it was the best idea she ever came with.

"That would be perfect, What do you think Anne?" Laura asked.

" That would be great." That was I said, the thing is I cant really say no since Laura already said yes.

"Okay everything is set. Now how long would this tour be?" Laura said while writing down something.

"3- 6 months depends on how many areas Anne would like to cover." Julia said.

"I think it would be fair if we do everywhere we possibly could, I'm good with 5 or 6 months." I butted in before Laura decides for me.

" Okay so we'll carry on with the planning and Anne I think it will be the best if your editor comes with you so you can work on new ideas for your next book." Laura said.

Before I could protest everyone started to gather their things and started to leave. right after the meeting I went straight to Laura's office.

" When you said that I'm gonna bring my editor along did you meant Katie?" I said.

" No, Peter is gonna come with you." She said while grinning.

Laura has been teasing me with Peter for the past two years. Peter and I have this Love--Hate relationship that's all fun and games. We like to do pranks on each other. Were about the same age and Laura knows that I've always had a soft spot for him.

"Is it really necessary? I asked.

"What's necessary?" A familiar voiced asked.

I turned around to see Peter standing in the doorway. He looks good let me tell you that. His face is somewhat a cross between Andrew Garfield and Dylan O'Brien. I am not over exaggerating he is a good looking person and he is very smart too.

"speak of the devil" I whispered.

Laura just laughed at us. " Well, Anne here is gonna have a book tour and you are coming with her." She said.

"Can I just bring Katie along?" I said.

"Don't you want me Anne?" Peter said while fake crying.

"Stop being a baby Peter" I said while laughing.

"Okay you two should go now I have another meeting in a couple of minutes" Laura added.

"Wanna get coffee?" Peter said.

"Yeah sure." I said.

"Finds us a seat and I'll go order for us." Peter said while looking at the menu above the register.
