I frowned. Something was really bothering her, but she kept smiling in front of me all along. "What do you mean?"
"I just figured out that I had a brother." She smiled, sadly.
I froze in my place. I didn't realize that I wasn't breathing until I found myself in need for air. But I wondered if I deserved to breathe around her. I tried to remember his face, but it looked like I forget how he used to look like. It made me even more guilty, because if there was anyone I shouldn't forget about it was him. And it was the same for her
I needed to say something. Minyoung was looking at me, waiting to say anything, but I didn't know what I should say.
I cleared my voice and tried to smile. "Really?"
She nodded. "I figured out that he is dead too." A heavy breath skipped her nose. "I just know I had a brother, but I can't really meet him, or talk to him. I almost got angry when I know I have a brother, but he never visited me. I know now why."
"I'm sorry." I was apologizing because of many reasons. Many reasons. I had done nothing to Minyoung except making her suffering. "I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault Jungkook." She smiled. My heart squeezed.
It was my fault though. It had always been my fault.
"Minyoung... Actually, I--"
"Jungkook! Minyoung."
A voice stopped me. I couldn't believe I almost told her it was my fault her brother was dead.
I must have been out of my mind.
I turned toward the voice and so did Minyoung. Across the road, Bambam and Jina were approaching us.
Minyoung laughed beside me when Jina hit Bambam's head for being too loud.
I felt Minyoung's arm nudging me, gesturing for me to lean close. So I did.
"Those two need to get together before it's too late"
I smiled. She noticed it too. It was obvious that Bambam and Jina had feelings for each other, but neither of them confessed to the other.
"True." I nodded.
As those friends approached, Bambam swung his arm over Minyoung, pulling her under his arm. I wanted to punch him in the face, but Minyoung kicked his shin which was totally fine. I couldn't help but smile proudly.
"Hey." Bambam winced, holding his shin up.
"You deserve it." Jina teased, sticking her tongue out at him. She walked to Minyoung and linked arms with her. I had never seen Jina close with any girl or close with anyone in particular except for Bambam. I guess Minyoung was hard to dislike.
"What are you doing here, anyway?" Jina asked, looking up at me.
"Just walking." I said, starting to walk.
"Then let's have a little fun since we are all here." Bambam grinned, wrapped his arm around my neck. I rolled my eyes, pulling his arm away. I wasn't Minyoung nor Jina.
"That sounds good." Jina agreed the turned to Minyoung who looked unsure.
"I don't...."
"No, you are coming." Jina said, firmly.
"Okay." She smiled, shrugging. "Why not?"
"Yes!" Bambam cheered.
This was going to be a noisy night.
